Handy for older manual film camera with max 1000 or 500/ sec shutter speed to meter in sunny daylight, lens wide open. Metering can be adjusted by turning the ND to meet the correct light exposure at a set shutter-speed and choice DOF (f-stop) combination. Wonderful tool for needle metered or LED array camera where you see the progress of exposure as you turn.

Retractable Rubber hood is the best solution to attach a hood.
Lens cap for a 67mm will be 72mm. I will assume 1 size larger.

To be used on my 2 most-often-used lenses. Quite pleased with build quality and solid feel on the lens. Image quality is perfectly-transparent and has the (supposed) level markings on the side. Of course it's arbitrary, but this is an XCLNT filter.

This works phenomenally with this camera. No need for anything more fancy ND Filter wise, this is perfect for on the go, especially for S-LOG which starts at 1000iso, you definitely need an ND Filter.

I spent a long time buying a filter because on the one hand I didn't know if I needed something like this and on the other hand because I had already tested a 0815 filter with miserable results and the costs for such a part are not insignificant. The question now was whether I should get several filters or a variable filter. In view of the price, the question ultimately became irrelevant. The first tests were able to dispel concerns that the image quality suffers, as with the filter mentioned at the beginning. The images are slightly blurry, but really only marginally. The weakest position extends the exposure time by a little more than 2. In my experiment (Nikon D7200, Sigma 18-35, K&F variable ND filter 77mm ND2-ND400 with adapter ring) I set the aperture to 2 in sunshine. 8 raised to expose well at 1/8000 without a filter. With the filter screwed on in the "MIN" position, the shutter speed went up to 1/3200. I turned the filter from mark to mark and came up with the following shutter speeds calculated by the camera: 1/3200, 1/3200, 1/2500, 1/2500, 1/2000, 1/1250, 1/800, 1/400, 1/125, 1/20(X-Cross, but underexposed). As you can see, hardly anything happens at first and the markings also do not allow any ND value order to be determined, which according to the logic of the first point is 2, the second 4 and the third 8.... So it's time to try it out. In the "MAX" position (1/20) the images are unusable because of the X-Cross, but this is really only the case in the absolute max position, and between the penultimate with 1/125 and Max intermediate positions are also possible where I got useful up to 1/30. So a usable ND value of 266 is calculated. This value is now completely sufficient for filming, because who says that I can't set the shutter speed higher than 1/60, which was the rule of thumb in the early days of analogue filming. Enough theory, I think the filter is an absolutely good investment.
Unscrewing is completely problem-free and if there was a color cast, it was due to the camera (Nikon D7200).

This filter does a great job at letting you control your settings to what you want for bright situations. Needing a slow shutter in bright light, with this filter you’re able to do just that.

Love it. Easy to use. Must use dots for correct alignment. Moving to the min/max mark will produce the "X" you see in some photos. That is purely user error. I've done it myself. What I love about the variable filter is I can put this filter on my lens on the lowest setting, set up my shot and focus and then twist it to the max setting to take my shot. No need to remove the filter to set up another composition.

Rushed to take this shot as I was being eaten alive by black flies. So i messed my aperture up and kept bumping my shutter up instead to get an acceptable exposure. I also had some condensation on my lens when I was screwing on the filter so there is a haze towards the top of the image. Shoulda used f/11+ and a 1 second exposure, but the water still blended nicely.

Happy with the purchase. great value for the money. Feels well made. Couple of things that are drawbacks are that, first, the MAX setting really isn't usable as you get the dreaded "X" shading, and second, the fact that you are unable to attach a lens cap or hood on the front due to the increased circumference of the outer edge. Not a big deal breaker for me. What is usable on dense end is plenty for me. The Price is so low that I can live with it until I can't. Some complained about a color cast but it's not discernible to me. Would recommend for the semi-serious amateur photographer.

A great ND filter for the price. Very happy with it. Fits the sense very well and takes great photos. Adjustable density is great. A great value for the value/ budget minded photographer

Lots of vignetting even at lowest setting. As you get halfway through the darkening you start getting blotches. At full darkening there is a dark visible X in the picture. I am very curious how this filter go so many positive reviews. I find it unusable. I am returning it and will look for something more expensive that works or simply go for fixed ND filters
