Thanks to this adapter I can use other lenses that are not compatible with my j1. Little by little I have a huge selection of excellent targets!!

Very robust construction. Great quality and all screws stay tight. The lens does not slip or wobble in the mount, and the mount does not wobble in the camera mount. The locking mechanism is stable.

I bought this adapter for my Nikon v1 and it's a blast. Super sturdy and fits perfectly. Note that there is no way to use STM lenses as they require power for the focus ring and stabilizer. But for fitting lenses that are "old fashioned" or don't need energy to focus in manual mode, it's perfect.

Works like a charm on my Nikon 1 S1 camera and allows me to use my Canon EF lenses! Solid construction!

The ring is of high quality but it is not valid for my Nikon D-800. You have to check beforehand if it fits the camera, which I didn't do...

MUCH better than I expected. High quality material and nice, firm fit. There are many caveats with an adapter like this: 1. NO aperture control at all (lenses default to the lowest aperture setting) 2. The camera MUST be in creative manual mode or it won't take pictures 3. You have to focus manually so that everyone electronically controlled focus will not work unless the focus ring is physically connected to the focus mechanism. 4. You have to correct the perspective distortion manually 5. The measurement is fine, but you are working entirely manually, so you have to adjust the exposure.

The adapter solved my problem with the NIKON J1. I had vintage Praktica lenses (M42 screw mount) and the adapter worked great for me. A bit bulky but it does its job.

Few areas are harder to assess than a photographer's equipment. A lot of very subjective opinions on technical devices meet here and in a scene that has to fight against very good image results with smartphones. The adapter ring is solidly made and fits perfectly on both sides of the products to be combined. On the camera side, the Nikon D5300 with 24M pixels is mounted on a 3/4 sensor. The occasional purchase of older lenses with a 42mm thread is then the experimental part of the hobby. For example, a purely analog Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 2.8 / 180mm finds its place and no longer has to stand in the closet. The mechanical connection via the adapter is very stable, the compensation of the focal length works with the camera's not full-format sensor and the image is good to very good for such an old lens. A useful adapter for anyone who wants to use old lenses on new cameras.
