The build on this light is all plastic body and the accents take that retro queue. While the retro look is fine and the sticker application they have on it feels solid.
Turning on the light and using it is really easy. Like other portable lights it has a short startup sequence so you don't accidently turn on the light in storage. You basically hit the power button and then twist the intensity button until the number goes from 10 to 0. The control knobs are responsive and you can press in the white balance or intensity button to jump from preset white balance of intensity settings. I don't have a DC jack to test it.
The light comes with a case that holds the light, the reflector, a diffuser, charger cable, and a handle that also works as a light stand mount. The case is considerate and comparable to other lights within this price range.

I love the look, feel and ease of use for this light. It has excellent controls and is easy to manipulate - both brightness and color temperature.
It comes with a great case that’s protective and lets you pack up fast. The fans aren’t very loud, so I could see using this at low intensity on a video shoot.
I had zero expectations and came away impressed. I might pick up the RGB version to see how it works, but as is, I’m happy to have a portable, high quality light for my shoots.

The difference between amateur and pro level images is good lighting. This little light is great for taking in the field to give you extra pop for location shots. While powerful enough for quick interviews, battery power is not going to give a lot of time. This is a great light for a compact field kit. Recommended.

This light generally holds its own with other lights of its class that I have. It's easy to use the controls, nice and bright, and they put in all the look/feel/experience features that you tend to see. It's packed well in a nice carry case with its accessories all slotted in. It appears priced reasonably compared to others like it. I am not an experienced photographer so I can't get too into the weeds on the technical aspects. For my purposes it will serve me well. If you like the retro look it offers that with the brown simulated leather look. I think in some cases that's more about your own feelings about style; your subject probably won't care. But I get it if that's your jam. Overall I'm happy to have it. Best luck.

Really impressed with how this light performs on location! Lately, I've been wanting to experiment with continuous lighting on my photography shoots. At 100%, the light is powerful and efficient to light up an entire set on its own if needed. The soft light diffuser significantly softens the shadows on my subjects, creating a very refined light source.
The light is also very precise in the sense that everything can be incrementally changed, from the colour temperature to the power of the light source! The included handle makes this light exceptionally easy to manoeuvre on set with an assistant. The handle can also be installed onto a light stand for extra height or if you're working independently.
Amazed at how well this little light performs. This will definitely help with any on-location shooting you have planned in the future! You won't be disappointed with the results!
