Used on our boat to check electrical circuits and wiring for corrosion / high resistance, and insulation on our apartment renovation. I've used a nice handheld flir unit for a research project a few years back and this unit is easily as good for a fraction of the cost. The sensitivity and level of detail is very, very good. The unit seems plenty rugged and has excellent battery life. Some have complained about boot time, I just don't see the issue as I have never had to hurry to get a thermal shot of anything...The case is fine for me, I don't need a lens cap given how recessed the lens is.

Excellent thermal imaging camera at a really competitive price. Sure, the user manual could be improved, but that's fine, you don't really need it. Sure, it takes a while for the device to get up and running. I wouldn't expect anything different. And the sensor calibration is pretty good (I can't see any difference to an IR thermometer from Bosch and I don't think you really need to compare it to a fever thermometer), but when the device is in use for a longer period of time, the temperatures on the left side deviate slightly because the chipset's waste heat is evidently leaking in. But I can live with that. It's a real pleasure to work with. The image is quite smooth at 20 fps. The sensor resolution is great at 240x180, I find that completely sufficient. I have used the device to detect thermal bridges in insulation and in rooms, to detect hotspots on PCBs and PV modules, to document flow and return temperatures in a heating circuit, to check temperatures on an air conditioning system, to check coolant circulation in a freezer, etc. etc. Conclusion: The purchase has already paid off. :)

Works very well and opens up a new world for me. The battery is not that great doubt it would last over 2 hours in one go. I don't really care for it to be WiFi but it was much cheaper than a standalone plug in for my phone. It does let me hook a power bank up to it during use with no problem. If you need a thermal camera for every day use I'm sure a smaller unit that uses the phones battery would be a much better fit for you. Hobbiest such as myself with a tight budget will love this.

It offers fast processing speed and reacts instantly to environmental changes. The menu has many options, including changing the color palette and recording video and thermal information. It can display and record IR light, visible light, and fusion, where you record the thermal visuals blended on the video. This works better with minimal motion, given that the two sensors, IR and visible CCD, have different processing times. It offers a light for better video capture and to inspect dark areas.The processor automatically detects the maximum and minimum temperatures on the screen and tracks them for you. You can select two different temperature scales for better sensitivity. You can use it in Farenhide or Celsius. You can change measurement parameters like distance, temperature, and emissivity, to more accurately measure temperature on different surfaces. This device is an excellent tool for HVAC work or any other electro-mechanism.

Apart from a fairly long delay of around 0.5 seconds when moving the camera until the image on the display changes, the camera works well. The automatic marking of the warmest and coldest areas in the image works perfectly.

The image I attached is 256*192 captured by the product. There are 3 crosshairs on the image: green, white and red. Green being the min reading, white is where you're aiming and red is the max reading. It captures stills and records videos. Startup on the device is slower than I expected. So you'll have to have the device ready before your testing. Overall, exceeded my expectations.

Must have for my shop now.Had an issue with my scuba compressor and used this to help identify the leak.Excellent for diagnosing issues that will have a thermal signature.

So handy for checking your projects for hotspots. That is true for the whole house! The different color pallets come in very handy depending on the device/distance. Easy to use and accurate. Wish these were cheaper in general but for this price point it’s a solid buy. Did I mention it’s accurate?!?!!

Works beautifully! In fact, so much so....that I ticked off my previous slumlord showing him the heat from the sun going through several parts on the wall.
