I like to take pictures of stars and animals from far away. I use a Samsung S10 and the optical zoom is only 2x. I got this 28x zoom on my phone and I can see the moon, stars and animals in the morning clearly. The lens is pretty heavy, it's solid. The tripod helps with stabilize the phone.

Is sturdy and can add a tempered screen protector for the from cover and the back camera lenses and it still fits.

I ordered this instead of buying a camera for my iPhone to film, my nephew, playing baseball. All I have to say is with products like this you no longer need a camera.

The lens picks up right away. Just a bit of adjusting and I was easily looking through the lens and focusing on the birds in the trees at the edge of the woods. If there's improvement to the tripod - I'd gift this to my photo hounding friends. Doesn't take up much room and will tuck easily into a day pack!

Surprisingly effective telephoto and macro.
I've seen ads on social media about clip on lenses that effectively transform your cell phone into a long-range spy camera. I suspected that the ads were unrealistic and mostly click bait. I was actually more impressed with the performance of this little lens kit than I thought was possible. It takes a bit of tweaking the position of the lens to get it perfectly centered and not vignetting, but once it was in place and focused, it actually punched out way further and clearer than I expected. That being said, the long range lens needs to be really stable to get a clean picture, so you either need a tripod or some way of securing it or making it really stable. I was able to take a picture of a person about 300fft away and readily identify them when the best zoom on the phone itself was so far out that you couldn't hardly even tell that there was a person present in the picture.
