67mm MCUV Lens Protection Filter with Lens Cap Optical Glass Ultra Slim 18 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.K67V4
Although camera technology has advanced in recent years and UV lens filters may not be as important as they once were, they still offer benefits. Although I would sacrifice a filter as just a first line of defence for your precious lens over a lens worth hundreds or even thousands of pounds. This K&F UV filter feels good quality and comes complete with lens cap and wrist strap. I chose the 82mm size for my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 Sport lens as I do a lot of motorsport photography where it's not uncommon to have rocks and gravel flying at you, especially if you're in the line of fire on a rally stage, so a filter is a great way to ensure your lens is protected. I had no issues screwing it onto my lens and both the supplied lens cap and my original Sigma lens cap fitted the filter perfectly.

This UV lens filter is simple enough. I'm not a professional photographer, so my standards aren't going to be that high in terms of what's acceptable. I don't find this lens filter distorts my photos, nor does it add any light diffraction to my shot. I've tried this filter with both my standard 17mm 50mm lens and my 400mm lens. Comparing the shots, I don't see much difference between the two (with and without the filter). I would have liked this filter better if it came with a better case rather than a square plastic case that doesn't even seal tightly. Other K+F lens filters I have included a round case that matched the size of the filter. It also sealed tightly to the lens. Of course, the other filters I have aren't this priced ($20 at the time of this review), so it's probably a you get what you pay for situation too. Overall, as I mentioned, I'm not a professional photographer, so I'm not as picky about the results as some others might be. Given that there's little visible difference in my shots whether I have the filter or not, I think this is a good level filter to use when you're starting out. They're affordable and will let you get your feet wet.

Small kit including an 82mm UV filter, an 82mm lens cap and a small elastic band for the lens cap. When I go for a photo walk with friends in the countryside/forest, between branches that can come back in boomerang, brambles and other thorny vegetation or just dust, tree resin or other, as an amateur who does not necessarily have the means/desire to insure or especially replace his equipment, I appreciate knowing that the front lens of my lens is protected. Whether on my 30 Mpx camera or the 24 Mpx camera, even with my pricked Laowa Macro 100mm, in 95% of cases there is no significant visual impairment between with and without the filter. Of course, for landscape, portrait or studio shots as a professional with much more expensive equipment, my point of view would have been different. But as an amateur, the negligible impact on sharpness is largely offset by the increased protection. The lens cap is also more than welcome, classic plastic construction, very good. Even though the original lens cap fits on the filter too, the cap is suitable for creative filters with a support ring on lenses of different diameters. I can't imagine using the little strap, at least not to keep the lens cap from dangling on the lens itself. I find that even more annoying than anything else about the lens cap. For €18.40 at the time of testing, the kit is very good.

Every time I buy a new lens, I buy a UV filter to go with it. Lately it's been K&F Concept's filters and every time I've been impressed with the level of quality for the price. I love that each filter comes with a sealed microfiber cloth. I've accumulated so many of these that they now lie all over the house for my other electronics, glasses, etc., or I just throw one in my camera bag, work bag, the car - wherever, really. But back to the filter! I've always been impressed with K&F's filters themselves. The metal filter ring itself is thinner than most, but features grooves so you can actually get a grip on it if you need to remove it. This filter also came with its own lens cap, but I found that my original Sony lens cap fit on the filter just fine. I will definitely continue to buy filters from K&F Concept!

own a few filters (UV, ND & CPL) and other products from K&F. This UV filter came in a square plastic case with a lens cap and lens holder. The filter was clean out of the box. I got this filter for my Nikon 20mm F2.8d lens. So far I have been using the lens without a filter but bought one to protect the front part of the lens when shooting outdoors. Both the K&F and OEM lens caps fit well over the filter. I don't use a filter when I'm shooting indoors. Even outdoors I tend to use one when I'm shooting in dusty environments and only with lenses that don't have a lens hood. It's an extra piece of glass that we put over the lens. It will have some minor imperfections that may be visible when using a pixel peeper. This filter is good, I haven't noticed any degradation in image quality in images I've taken so far. Although I don't use it indoors, I took some pictures to test and didn't notice any difference with or without the filter. The lens cap is OK, but not as good as the OEM cap. The clip is not deep and doesn't provide a good grip. The lens cap holder is a waste. I can't tighten it over the lens barrel so I won't use it. For $10.99, there's nothing to complain about. This is a good filter with a lens cap that protects the lens from dust, scratches, and fingerprints.

First of all: I am not a fan of always using a lens with a UV protection filter. No matter how good it may be: every air-glass surface in front of the lens impairs the imaging performance and affects the optical design of the lens. It may not always be visible, but in extreme situations (e.g. stray light) it can lead to blurring, poor contrast or flares. Due to the hard coating of the front lenses, this protection is usually unnecessary. However, there are always situations in which mechanical protection of the front lens is more important than the disadvantages described above. In this case, the UV protection filter from K&F Concept is a good choice, because its nano-coating (18 layers!) at least keeps the inevitable flares under control. The lens cap supplied is OK, it corresponds to the usual standard here. One more tip: nano-coated filters tend to magically attract dust. Care should be taken to keep them clean so as not to negatively affect the contrast and sharpness of detail.

usually have a filter on each of my lenses because I like photography in general and motorsport in particular, so the protection offered by a filter never hurts, apart from its benefits in improving contrasts and reflections. As always with K&F, there are 10 pieces, a silver cardboard box entirely screen printed inside a rigid PVC box that perfectly protects the product. Inside this box there is the filter, a protective cap, a fastening strap for the cap and a disposable microfiber suede. As for the filter, two things struck me: how thin the filter frame is and how well built it is to be in the "low" range of the brand. Once installed, the filter is invaluable when viewing the photos thanks to its optical quality, also as a good UV filter it suppresses certain flashes and slightly clears the fog, which is certainly appreciated. As for the construction, the metal frame with two wavy areas, in addition to threading perfectly into the lens, is very comfortable to put on and take off thanks to the knurling. As for a K&F product, I did not expect to be disappointed, but we are not looking at the manufacturer's top offering, but as always, my expectations are improving. The additional case with adjustable strap seems very comfortable to me and it is good to incorporate it, as well as a cleaning cloth for the initial placement of the filter.

would never have expected this quality at this price. The build quality is top-notch - the device feels like it's from the top price category of a luxury camera brand. Nevertheless, I didn't have particularly high expectations when I screwed the filter onto a camera for the first time. Working with the device is a pleasure in itself - but the result has completely convinced me. At a high level, the color spectrum shifts a little towards green, but that's nothing that can't be corrected in post with a mouse click. This is certainly not the last K&F product that will find its way into my camera case. Super!

Indoors or outdoors, I like to have a lens filter and lens hoods on. The reason is simple: things fall out of my hands and lenses are expensive. I'm not making money so I want to protect my stuff as much as possible even if that means I might have to sacrifice a bit of quality. I'm in no way saying this affects the quality of the images, just pointing out how important these things are to me. This is good, 24 hours after I took my lens out of the box this continued and if it's on me it never comes off. The reason for the 24 hour delay is simply that I want to see what the images look like without the filter so I can tell what is affected. So when I took photos indoors and outdoors, filtering in and out, I didn't notice any difference. Even if there was one, it was so tiny that I won't bother with it. I found the filter to be great, no issues for me at all. It does its job and has no effect on my photos.

Ideal for protecting my 800€ lens, essential, it's better to break a filter than the lens! To have all your lenses with the right format to protect them.
