52mm Circular Polarizer Lens Filter with Filter Cap Cleaning Cloth Optical Glass Ultra Slim Polarizing CPL Filter with 28 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Xcel Series

Well, I see reviews where people complain about how expensive filters are, even ones in this price range. Aside from the fact that you couldn't get filters of this quality 10 years ago (really just because of advances in multi-layer technology), even filters that were close were very expensive, at least for me. The only advantage of the filters being in this high price range is that the mounts are made of brass (and K&F has their top line with even more multi-layer layers and brass rings, I haven't tried that yet). They are nicely milled and have deep knurling on the side, which is nice to use especially with a rotating filter. This particular filter spins very smoothly. I have the same Nano series filter in two other sizes, and the large one, 82mm, spins stiffly. I expect it will loosen up. This particular filter (67mm) is pretty smooth though. So what makes this 5 stars for me? The polarizing film included works as expected and there is very little color cast. While I haven't done a light transmission and reflectivity comparison test with their CPL filters, I have done a pretty extensive comparison with UV filters and the Nano series was in the top tier — again, competing with filters costing up to four times as much. So I'm extrapolating that the coatings on the polarizers are just as effective. To be fair, I should mention that the newest of my "expensive" filters are at least 5 or 6 years old and, as I said, there have been a lot of advances in coatings recently. The cap, cleaning cloth and filter holder are just bonuses. However, I would rather take the older, round K&F filter case than the larger box this one came in.

use the K&F Concept 82mm Circular Polarizer Lens (CPL) to take photos with my 24-70 zoom lens. The polarizer does a good job of removing stray light and reducing glare and unwanted reflections. It is easy to install and adjust once it is attached to the lens. As with any polarizer, there is a slight reduction in brightness when using this filter. I noticed that rotating the polarizer lens to increase or decrease polarization caused the threaded portion of the CPL to become tightly attached to my lens. At this point, it was difficult to remove the CPL because the threaded mount was flimsy and hard to grip.

This filter works great! Very clear and seems distortion free. Also, I don't notice any tint with this filter. I think this is a good value overall. I don't use this on every shot, but when I do, it's worth its weight in gold. Easily 5 out of 5 stars for quality and value.

Over the past few years, I've ordered a number of filters from various K&F series filter lines, and with only VERY few, I've been happy with all of them. This "K&F Concept 72mm Circular Polarizer Lens Filter [CPL]" is another plus product from them. I ordered this 72mm filter as an experiment to see how it would work along with my Sigma 15mm f/1.28 EX DG Fisheye lens. However, since this lens contains a large bubble for the front element, I wanted to try screwing it into the extended lens cap. Then tested if the CPL still worked. After screwing it into the extended cap, the filter rotated smoothly. Photographically, while the CPL filter did a good job on both the sky color and water reflections, the lens's barrel effect, exacerbated by the extended cap's distance from the lens element, made it not worth reprinting the images here. Despite this result, I will keep the lens rather than return it for 72mm camera lenses that I will undoubtedly purchase in the future. All in all, I think this “K&F Concept 72mm Circular Polarizer Lens Filter” is a good buy considering its mid-range cost and above-average performance. I think it is a solid 4-star product that should be considered by anyone in the market for such a CPL filter.

Free product tested as part of the Vine Testers Club program, without compensation for providing a rating and review based on my daily use and under my sole responsibility. K&F products have a good reputation and I did not hesitate to order this circular polarizing filter for my Tamron 150-500 in 82mm. The filter, obviously of high quality, is delivered well wedged by a compact foam in a plastic case to which the cap is attached. I liked: - the thin but solid ring, - the filter screws on and off the lens smoothly, - the good grip to easily adjust the polarization level, - the lens cap and the strap compatible with the lens hood "rests" on the case. It is thinner than the original Tamron and has also taken its place! - the waterproofing which slips quickly, - the cloth. Sorry: nothing for the moment. At this point I didn't notice any color or brightness variations, at least nothing that couldn't be easily adjusted after treatment. Perfectly meets my expectations of a high quality polarizing filter.
