The K&F Concept 52MM Multi-Coated UV Filter is a high quality product. Its build quality is on par with major filter manufacturers like Hoya and Nikon. It comes with an oversized case that I find too bulky. I like the smaller Hoya cases. Still, with a UV filter, you would probably leave the filter on the lens 100% of the time, so you don't need to carry the case. In terms of optical quality, it beats my old Nikon L37 52mm by a mile. My L37 has what looks like no coating at all and is very reflective. The K&F has a green cast to the reflection, indicating the presence of multi-coating. When the K&F looks through the two filters one after the other, it immediately shows higher contrast. Wow, what have I missed? I will be replacing my L37 with the K&F on my old 35mm lens immediately! Comparing them to my Nikon L1Bc 52mm, they look pretty similar to the L1Bc in reflection and transparency, maybe a little better at muting reflections. In other words, the K&F Multicoated UV filter is very comparable to the performance of the Nikon L1Bc without the intended red cast on the L1Bc. In summary, the K&F 52MM UV filter is an excellent filter for lens protection without significantly affecting image quality. It will replace my old L37 in a heartbeat. I'm very happy with it. K&F Concept really impresses me! They continue to bring out high quality and innovative products for the film and photography industry. This is a review of their current UV filter that I have on a Canon 85mm f1.4 lens. Now, I'm not an expert on lenses, except to say that I've been working with stills and video for about fifty years. (Yes, that's "50" - not a mistake) The glass looks beautiful. Flawless. No issues and no flaws at all. So how did K&F Concept do this above and beyond? The milled two edges of the filter ring have a true "dog tooth" design. Speaking of easy to grip and turn! Why did it take so long for someone to figure this out? Well, maybe this is done all the time, since I'm dozens of filters from years ago. I don't buy new filters these days. But if no one else does, K&F Concept needs a long overdue credit! And a word on UV filters. Yes, sometimes they can help. High altitude work. Snow in bright sunlight. But mostly for protection. For example, I was standing in a non-public area along the short straightaway as the cars drove by me. I kept getting hit by something. Couldn't figure it out. Finally realized that rubber was coming off the tires at high speed. So, yes, a UV filter was a good idea. But if you're shooting indoors in a controlled environment, take it off. You don't need extra glass between your subject and the lens. Bottom line: I don't think you'll find better quality than K&F Concept's UV filters. Great filter with handles, packaged with a cleaning cloth and a short strap to attach to the filter body. Impressive company!

Unlike the polarizing filter from K&S Concept, this UV filter does not cause any problems. I was unable to get the polarizing filter off my brand new 90mm macro lens. This UV filter does not have that problem at all. It can be screwed on and off without any problems, as it should be. I usually only use UV filters to protect my lenses. The days when UV radiation had a decisive influence on the image are over. With a filter like this, it is therefore much more important that it does not affect the optical properties of the lens. I cannot find anything negative about this UV filter in this regard. It is obviously very highly coated; at least I do not notice any increase in flair or chromatic aberrations. The lens hood can be put on without any problems despite the filter being screwed on. Therefore, I am very happy with this filter and would give it full marks if it were around 10 euros cheaper.

The protective filter has a diameter of 62 mm and fits well on my camera. It serves its purpose and protects the camera lens from small stones or dirt. The image quality does not change due to the filter. I have not noticed any positive or negative aspects in contrast to other manufacturers. The only thing is that the price could be a little lower.

On the other hand, UV filters are also commonly used as lens protection for digital devices. Although I don't usually leave protective filters on my lenses, I do use a UV filter in adverse conditions (wet, dusty, dirty). This filter offers excellent transparency: - I can't see any anomalies in the glass - No noticeable degradation in image quality - No noticeable discoloration - Low reflectivity coatings designed for easy cleaning and scratch resistance - Well-shaped ring and threads - Satisfyingly thin form factor - Nicely anodized ring - Knurling aids in installation and removal - Hard case - Add 72mm lens cap, lanyard, and microfiber cloth Value Misses? - There is no label on the filter case. Since I don't like carrying boxes, I make my own label. - The filter case is a bit large since it is designed to hold the filter with the lens cap installed. I usually look for ways to make my kit smaller. - The added items detract somewhat from the value proposition if you are just looking for a good filter. No major misses, but worth pointing out. I have had several K&F products over the years. Well designed and with great attention to detail. The quality has never disappointed me. This is no exception. Worth considering. Recommended accordingly.

UV filters were essential in film photography, which was sensitive to ultraviolet radiation, but not so in digital photography, where whatever they say, it has no effect (the digital sensors used in today's professional and amateur cameras are NOT sensitive to UV light). In addition, these filters add a layer of glass that can affect image quality if you have lenses that are already of good quality, and can cause unwanted reflections, in some cases even with a sunscreen (since the lens itself can reflect in the filter, so flashes or defined reflections appear in the photo). Whether these filters serve as protection is also somewhat questionable, of course they do not serve as drop protection (if the lens falls head-on on something sharp, the filter and the lens will break). So do they have any use or advantage? However, they do serve as protection from dust and splashes on the front lens, since you can always clean the filter with whatever you have at hand without having to fear abrasions on the lens. It also serves as a surface for other interventions, such as painting with colored markers, adding Vaseline or other materials that give creative effects to our photos without dirtying or damaging the front lens of the lens. The build quality is very good, the anti-reflective coating is also excellent (although not perfect, of course), and it includes a spare lens cap, which is a nice but unnecessary detail as it makes the filter housing excessively large. It is a useful but not essential accessory, whose current price (37.99€) seems completely excessive to me despite the build quality.
