Living close to the beach, I have owned many metal detectors. Most metal detectors in this price range are merely toys, without the advanced features of this one.

The assembly was really easy, taking less than 3 minutes. All the pieces are well made and went together without any tools. The build quality is good, with none of the plastic burrs and tags that you often see on similar products. The pole length is easily adjustable so treasure hunters of various heights are still comfortable using it.
The display is large and easily readable, which is great for a guy like me that wears bifocals. No squinting, just good readable text and numbers. And the display has a backlight for those warm summer evenings where you just want to walk along the beach as the sun goes down.
The search coil is waterproof so you can’t damage it if you ware walking along the shore and a wave hits it.
I like the handgrip as it is well balanced and doesn’t tire out your arm during an afternoon of searching.
I personally tested it with various coins and the display is accurate. This is a great feature when scanning a busy beach.

Comes with a nice carrying bag, a nice set of headphones, and a great collapsible shovel with its own nice case. It comes with batteries, so you don’t need anything else to get started on your personal Treasure Hunt.

I purchased this as a gift for my kid who wanted to go beach combing. I'd owned a couple of cheap metal detectors as a kid and was immediately impressed the relative sophistication of this model. I was looking for something a bit better than a base model but not prohibitively expensive so this was perfectly placed.

To date, we've used it twice. The unit gives off a different tone for different metals and the display gives an indication of depth too. This is really useful when deciding when to stop and when to move on. The sensitivity can also be adjusted, we started with it on maximum but soon realised that reducing it slightly gave us more consistent results.

It takes 2 9 volt batteries which are still reporting as full after 2 sessions. You can turn off the backlight on the display to conserve power. It is waterproof as advertised, I've used it along a river bank with no problems. This also comes with a nice little folding shovel which seems well made and works well.

To summarise, this met all of my expectations and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

I put it together and immediately headed out to the front yard. I started scanning in an area where I do my mechanic work and was amazed at the sensitivity. It picked up a single crimp on fitting. Then to the rest of the yard. The Metal detector found, and traced our water pipe to our front yard water bib hidden 12 inches underground. I literally found where the pipe that runs underground which I had always wondered about. The Pin Pointing feature was very accurate. I am very excited to get working it.

I'm a novice with a metal detector. My expectations were actually a bit low. So I was really pleasantly surprised.

Assembling the device was easy. I didn't even get up from the couch. It came with a backpack for storage and carry, a cover for the electronic main unit, and a collapsible shovel in its own fabric case. There are headphones for listening to the tones.

After reading the instruction manual, I got the device working. Outside in the yard. I knew I had nails somewhere in the yard because of work we'd done on the house. So I was interested to see if I could get a signal that indicated something other than a nail or bottle cap. Tthere are indicators for different metals on the LCD screen when a signal is detected. I did get some signals for coins or silver.

If you're breaking in to the hobby, do a price and feature comparison. I think this one will be favorable for beginners.

I have been using for almost 2 weeks. I think it is a very good metal detector. The pinpointer works very good. I really like the mode choices. It is very light. The recover time is a bit slow but once you get the hang of it is fine. The finds bag, hand shovel, and ear phones are a nice addition. The earphones are very comfortable and the digging tool is very strong. I strongly recommend this Metal Detector.

I've been thoroughly impressed with my metal detector. Its accuracy and sensitivity are spot-on, quickly pinpointing buried treasures with minimal false signals. I ordered this for my grandson for Birthday. It is so easy to assemble and easy to operate. I’ve only taken it outside in the yard learning how to detect and measure depth. I can’t wait to go treasure hunting with my grandson. It’s easy to take apart and make more compact. The digging tool it comes with is super sturdy and strong. The bag fits all the accessories inside of it.

Nice machine for beginner and professionals. Very easy to assemble and use. I really like all the features this machine has. I used this detector in my back yard and easily found several targets. The pin pointer is very accurate for where to dig. My grandson has been really interested in this hobby and this machine would be perfect as he progresses from a smaller unit into this one. Headphones light and comfortable with an easy volume adjuster. I feel this machine has many more options for a beginner than many other known names for the price. This machine has different detecting modes, great pinpointing and very easy to use. Very worth the price. Great machine!

This detector works excellent. It has all the functions that you would need. I don't think you can get a better deal. The digger and pouch that came with it are top notch.
