Works very well. The refresh rate is outstanding. Distance is also outstanding. Very easy to use and the app is very easy to use and loaded with features. I've used It to locate a ground hornet nest and for diagnostic work as a mechanic. I honestly had low expectations because of the price, but this thermal camera has blown me away with how good it really is. Highly recommend buying this one.

This is handy for so many things! Cold spots! Drafts! Heat flow! Seeing pan heating surface! Animals in the dark! This thing is awesome! Easy to use!

I like this thermal camera! I have a couple, and this is the smaller and more compact one yet still highly capable. The readings are easy to read and seem to be accurate. I tested this by measuring the temperature of some internal hard drives in external drive bays, and compared this camera readings, to my other thermal camera, and the S.M.A.R.T. drive reading and it was less than a degree off.I have another brand of thermal camera that has a slightly higher resolution and smaller crosshairs but is also a bit harder to use. This Kentfaith camera looks really good, decent image, fits my phone better and does not get in the way, and pretty accurate as far as I can measure. It comes with a nice case, and cleaning cloth.

I use an iPhone for my phone and this thermal camera does not support IOS or iPhones which is okay because almost everyone has access to an Android phone or tablet at least around here. The camera app is very easy to use and there are some features I'm still exploring, but I only really needed the basic functionality of being able to thermal image an object or area and take a video or some snapshots. During the summer it's great to be able to pinpoint where your insulation is lacking for thermal insulation and leakage and during the winter for outside the house to see where your heat is escaping. After installing the app I just plugged in the thermal camera and was off and running snapping pictures and measuring temperatures around my house. It's really cool to be able to see the studs and wiring in the wall, works much better than a stud finder and is quicker too. The camera showed me right away where the insulation was non-existent or severely lacking in my house and I could also make out wiring in the walls if there was a load on the circuit and the studs clearly. Kind of like X-ray vision and it's great for checking if you have mice in the house too.The speed of the camera was fine because I don't really see the need for a high frame rate. I'm not using this IR camera in a battlefield or in combat. Price wise this is in line with other thermal cameras and the device seems solidly built and worked straight out of the box. I'll use this occasionally at work when I go to different offices and can show the owner(s) where their leaks or problem areas for their buildings.

This thermal camera is great and is easy to use on my Android phone. The app has so many options that I have not had time to learn all of the features just yet. The camera is so strong that I could see my thermal image in the window from across the entire house. Crazy to believe that my thermal image was being picked up by this small camera. The camera comes with a carrying case and a cleaning cloth to keep the lens clean. This is a very professional camera and would be perfect for anyone needing any thermal imaging.

I just received the unit today and my first impression was great. I have a new PWB board design that I wanted to evaluate for temperature and heatsinking. The pictures have enough resolution to be able to identify parts. I can see how the heat is spread from the regulator chip to the inner layers of the board.
I haven't checked the accuracy yet but it seems to be in the ballpark.

I am improving insulation in my attic and felt like I was not sure which areas needed more or less additional material. I thought that an IR imager might provide me some insight beyond my simple temperature gun.
It felt like it was built solid and plugged into my Samsung S20 however like other reviews, I needed to remove my case first.
I found the app, installed it easily and when I replugged the device in, the app came right up and I saw the image.
I tested it in my kitchen which had a hot pan in use and saw the heat imagery with temperature markers on the hot spot. Wow, impressive.
I then tried still images then video and it recorded perfectly. You can record audio with the video like I did to narrate the action.
I then went around the house throughout the day imaging the ceiling and playing with the software which has color temperature schemes, ranges, highlighted areas and more.
I found that I needed to adjust the high and low range sliders as I inspected the ceiling depending upon how warm or cool areas there were but was easy.
I was surprised to find many hot spots where I obviously missed insulation. I also inspected the circuit breaker panel too and saw warm circuits versus cool ones from energy load.
It met my needs for what I am doing and is excellent in my opinion for home use.
The resolution is fine and having it paired with my phone makes it easy to edit or share the images.
My buddies saw my videos and were amazed and also wanted one too.

For home use this is perfect, have used a few times and connect real easy and runs fast. Resolution probably not up to professional standards but price is good for a home user. Has helped identify cold spots and drafts to fix. Worth it for me!

My outlets inside my house are not very reliable and this lens helped clarify some of my problem areas (picture 1 is my fuse box). This went beyond what I expected! It picked up heat so well and so accurately I was blown away. I spent the next hour pointing the camera at everything I could! It's really fascinating. But apart from the fun, I consider this to be a great purchase because this little device can really come in handy in a lot of different situations. If you want one, you should get it! Yes the app itself was downloaded from the web rather than app store but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.

I recently purchased the Kentfaith Thermal Imager for my Android phone. I picked this up, was to check the insulation in my ceilings and walls. I am extremely happy with its performance.

I can clearly see the condition of the high-power circuits. I highly recommend this thermal camera for anyone in need of thermal imaging and temperature measurement capabilities.
