We are total beginners/newbies with a telescope. Assembly was fairly easy, the directions were easy to follow and thorough, which I appreciate. I was able to watch several iTunes videos on how to use a telescope, got to love the internet! With nothing to compare it to I will not fault it! Overall it’s a decent choice for a new astronomer!

My daughter is delighted with this telescope because she is passionate about stars. She has been able to take photos and videos of the moon as well as Jupiter. She can grab her backpack and go anywhere to sit and watch the night sky when the clouds allow her to do so.
It's a great gift and very high-performance equipment. Now, I would like to order him some new filters so that she can continue to have her head in the stars. ;)

Purchased telescope for 15th birthday, teen was already interested in all things space related so the telescope is perfect! Easy to assemble & use, the size & weight allows for ease of movement, adjustments are simple & scope is clear. Highly recommend!
