10.1" HDMI High-Definition IPS Screen Professional Digital Microscope, 50-1600X Magnification, Touch Dimming, Photos and Recording, Wireless Remote Control, for PC
SKU: GW45.0074
I purchased this microscope so I can be able to take a close look at coins. It's a pretty good microscope for the money and I love that it has a rechargeable battery. The battery seems to last quite a while even with the light on and screen using up power.
Pros:
rechargeable battery
Nice clear screen
Bright light
Adjustable zoom
Lightweight
Cons:
Resolution is not so great in my opinion. Good enough but not great.
Fine focus knob isn't really fine.
Light adjustment isn't that great. It's either too bright or not bright enough.

The only feature I was disappointed in was the fine tune knob. The knob does not turn easily and end up turning it back and forth trying to get the best picture.

I got it for teaching purposes and it works really well. The only complaint is the adjustment know, it feels cheap. Overall, for the price well worth it.

These Kentfaith digital microscope LED fill lights are ok. They come simply wrapped in plastic and thats about it. The two lights are on a clip that I guess is meant to clip onto a desk to table top and reach around the microscope or whatever you want them to.
But I ordered them to go with the Kentfaith digital microscope and my review will be based on the compatibility with it.
The microscope already has two LEDs like this built into the base and are pretty dim which is why I went ahead and ordered these thinking they would be an upgrade. And boy are these an upgrade!
They actually come with a power adapter for the USB cable it is powered by and has inline controls of on/off, brightness and dimming, and even to turn one or the other lights off or have them both on.
They get MUCH brighter than the lights that come with the microscope but unless I have it near the edge of a table, it isn't a great solution because there is no way to mount these onto the original microscope base.
Overall, fantastic goose neck lights that you can use for anything at all with good controls as well. If you are ordering them to go with the microscope like I did, you might want to look for a different solution unless your microscope is near the edge of a table.

It’s awesome! Not only for looking at coins but pretty much anything. The zoom is really good for the finer details! Highly recommend for the price.

It has been decades since I played with a microscope (actually it wasn't play but part of my physics course at Cambridge University). This digital microscope is quite a lot different from the old style that I remember. It is reasonably easy to assemble and there don't appear to be any mirrors or other optics to get out of alignment. Basically you just turn it on, move the lens and screen (they are all part of one assembly) up or down, adjust the focus and lighting and you are good to go. I agree with the other reviewer on the magnification being around 35:1 and not 1300:1 (that sounds like how much the AREA is magnified but you don't measure magnification that way).
The remote comes with a battery inserted AND a spare. That threw me and I spent quite a while trying to open the remote to insert the battery. This is quite difficult (there is a black on black picture on the remote that helps a bit) if you don't want to hurt yourself or break the remote. The instruction manual is OK - not great. I took off a star for the manual and the remote.

So let me get my one complaint out of the way first. The claim that the magnification is 1300X is just ridiculous. My calculations indicate about 34X magnification. I focused the camera on the word Model on the front page of the manual. With the lens as close as I could practicable get it to the page and the device zoomed in to its maximum magnification (2.9X) the letters Mo basically filled the screen. A quick measure reveals they are 8.5” wide on the screen. Measuring the same 2 letters on the paper reveal they are 1/4” wide. That seems like 34X magnification to me. That said, I did not expect anywhere near that much magnification. I got this to look at electronic circuits, coins and other things that are just a little hard for me to see. For that purpose, this thing is amazing. Having the 2 gooseneck lights plus the light on the lens itself makes this thing great. Sometimes direct light on the object actually makes it hard to see. In those cases, you can use the auxiliary lights to provide more indirect light and actually improve the contrast. I also found the polarizer does help in some cases as well. I really like that the scope comes with a remote. It allows you to zoom in and out, take pictures or videos all without touching the scope. I have one other minor criticism. The stand that holds the camera allows it to move around a little. There are 2 screws that press against the tube. They seem to have a rubber or silicone tip on them and that seems to allow it to move a bit. It doesn’t keep the scope from working well, it’s just a little nuisance. Overall, I’m quite pleased with it.

I don’t have a microscope but I do a lot of detailed hobby and repair work so this seemed like a good lighting option to have available. It’s a very lightweight pair of fully adjustable lights and the mounting clip allows for a variety of use scenarios. The USB power cord has an in-line power and brightness adjustment switch which is pretty functional and easy to use. The only downside of this fixture is the clip since it can only mount to poles or surfaces of limited thickness…designing it with the option of a thumb screw clamp and/or a magnetic attachment would greatly increase its use range.
It is a very functional light source as is and it sells for a very reasonable price so I still consider it a five star item, but it could very easily be improved and still sell for a comparable amount.
