I have a B+W filter on one of my lenses that costs 3 times more than this filter and I can't tell the difference. I've bought it for all my lenses since then.

Bought to protect the Canon 18-45 RF-S lens. Optically very good. I see no degradation in image quality compared to the lens with no filter attached. Good fit but note that it's slightly wider than the lens barrel so the EW-53 lens hood gets a little tight over the top, but it goes over the filter... easy! Because of this, I have chosen to leave my lens hood in place full-time, rather than taking it off and inverting it for storage.
