We first mounted the sensor on a beam in front of the house but it read way too high as the sun was hitting it directly. So we moved it to the back side of the beam and it reads better but not perfect. I have brick on the front of my house and I think it is reading the temperature reflecting off of the brick. I will need to experiment with where I put the sensor in order to give accurate readings. Other than that, the sensor is great. Easy to read and seems to be accurate for everything else.
Sometimes it reads irratically Sometimes it reads irratically Sometimes it reads irratically

This is a nice weather station, it's not perfect, but it's nice. I really like being able to look at it and see the weather outside before I go to work in the mornings. It's nice not having to open the weather app on my cell phone. The only thing I don't care for is the display. I would like for it to be lit up at all times, but it turns off and you have to touch it to make it come back on.

I must say I am incredibly impressed with this little weather station. I keep it in my dining area where I have most of my plants that require about 60% humidity so this can measure that in my home as. Well? As. The temperature and humidity outside I love that includes the moon phase. And and is able to adjust? It's time automatically through radio transmitter. I haven't used any alerts on it yet but everything seems to be accurate just make sure you. Have? It adjusted to the correct zone but. I really enjoy this and the backlight color is absolutely gorgeous blue ombre to indigo.
I did take off one star because the backlight is only lit if it is plugged in and it only lights up for a few seconds with the. Battery so. You do have to have a chord and that's kind of esthetically not very attractive but the hardware it comes with and exterior. Transmittier is very easy to hang. I have mine out in my screen room as do not be affected by the weather and it's been a few weeks and everything is going strong this would be. A cute little gift for anyone who is a plant lover or geeked out about weather.
SO COOL! SO COOL! SO COOL!

This is an easy to read weather station and I like the pretty ombre colors. For the most part it works well, except for one major and one minor issue. The minor issue is that though it features an auto-adjusting brightness level (one of the main reasons I bought it), I was disappointed to find that in a dark room (I use mine in my bedroom, which I prefer to be totally dark when sleeping), the screen did not dim all the way, and was still on at a low level, which nonetheless put out way too much light. So I've had to switch to manual brightness mode, turning the screen off at bedtime and on in the morning. The major issue was that the automatic atomic time and date setting seemingly did not work at all. I let it sit for at least a week and nothing changed. I tried taking out the batteries and unplugging it several times but it didn't help. I asked questions on the product page hoping someone would help, or the manufacturer would step in, but got nowhere. I even emailed the company and got no answer. The included instruction manual was unclear on whether there was a particular order to power up the main unit and remote sensor. There is an RCC button that you can press and hold to force a connection to the atomic signal, but it didn't do anything. It also said if you entered in the time and date yourself that it would cause the automatic atomic updating to stop. In frustration I finally just entered the time in myself because the unit connects to the atomic signal three times a night at specific times, so I figured if I didn't enter the correct time, it would actually be checking at the wrong times of the night. Nothing updated, so I decided to return it and order a different product, which will be delivered today. Well lo and behold, when I got up this morning, it had finally updated to the correct time and date, and it even knew it's daylight savings time! So it seemed to take four days at least to get the time/date updated. Then later I read that you need to keep it at least 1-2 meters away from computers or tv’s because they interfere with the reception of the atomic signal. Since I’d placed the station right next to my tv, now I know that was probably what caused the non-updating problem. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem or if it's common, but they should be more specific in the manual about how to make sure you do setup right so you don't go through this. I think all the restarting I did just delayed the unit from connecting to the atomic signal.

My husband is somewhat of a weather bug and constantly looking at the weather app. This gives him a quick visual when wanting without having to pop open his phone. He especially likes the moon update for hunting season. Easy set up, just affix the outdoor monitor to a post or area where it will get an accurate outdoor reading to update indoor monitor. Very pleased with selection. Would recommend

Perfect little gadget for those who want to keep track of the weather conditions without having to go out. It also provide readings of the temperature inside the house and other parameters such as humidity levels. It also has a wide range of features that allow you to customisethe data you receive and how it is displayed.
Another thing I appreciate about this weather station is its ease of use. It is designed to be easy to set up and use, even for those who are not particularly tech-savvy. It comes with clear instructions and all the necessary components, which means that you can have it up and running in no time.

This is the best weather device I've owned. It tells you a lot more than most other weather devices. Moon phase, temperature, humidity, time of day, date, etc. I have it set up in my kitchen and have the reader just outside about 10 feet away. The device is pretty accurate, compared to what my phone says, it's fairly the same. Would definitely recommend this device!

I've been using this weather station for about a month now, and I'm generally happy with it. It's a great way to keep track of the temperature and humidity inside and outside my home. The display is large and easy to read, and the unit is very easy to set up.

My only real complaint is that the automatic time zone function isn't working. I receive the Atomic CLock signal, but it always shows Pacific Time.

Overall, I'm happy with this weather station. It's a great value for the price, and it does a good job of keeping me informed about the weather conditions.

Super easy to set up! Date time alarm all very user-friendly. I like that the station unit and the box were already connected. All I gotta do is put one outside add batteries and it was ready to go! I did not use the included plug for the main station. I did use AAA batteries. Both units do take batteries that are not included. Looks great sitting on my shelf! Unit seems accurate. Overall very happy. The only downfall is the unit is usually not lit up. You can get it to light up by touching it. I just wish there was an option to have it lite all the time. Maybe there is a way an I just haven’t found it. It does have a user manual included but nothing about display brightness. Highly recommend though.

ALongSong have provided us with a nice looking weather station, and at first it all seems to work as claimed, nice and accurate. But the instructions don’t help, clearly not tested on an uninitiated customer seeing it for the first time.

My main problems were when trying to delve into more useful functions such as occasionally using the backlight in the dark, and automatically setting the time etc by the Radio signal (the whole point of it) instead of manually (easy), then not so good.

I walked around the house with it while it was trying to find a signal (blinking satellite dish) and the only location with a result (radiation lines emanating from the dish) was standing by an open window holding it out at arms length for a couple of minutes until it stopped blinking. Fortunately the sun was shining. I should not have to do this.

The case has six buttons, mostly self explanatory, with helpful legends on the back of the case enlarging on the functions, and the instructions mostly agree;
SET
UP/MEM/RCC
DOWN/T-ALERT/°C/°F
PRESSURE
CHANNEL
ALARM

BUT the instructions appear to list a seventh button which I cannot find,
SNOOZE/LIGHT
One might think it was part of the ALARM functions, but not for me, and I tried following the instructions at first, then other permutations that seemed worth a go. Nothing associated with SNOOZE has worked.

The remote sensor seems to work, but it is very definitely not waterproof. I find this a bit odd for an “Outdoor Sensor,” especially when the sensor for my much older station survived fifteen years out on the North wall of the house beside a bathroom window. I would not even consider putting the ALongSong outdoor sensor in that convenient location; it would fill up with small spiders and damp in a matter of weeks.

All this is a shame because it looks nice and is easy to read when USB powered, but it needs a light or a torch if on battery, and I do want to know what’s going on outside when I wake up in the morning, still snug and warm under the covers.

Addendum 3rd August 2023
The clock runs slow, losing about 5 seconds a day. This is OK if there is a signal to reset it every evening, but when it can't find the signal easily, as with my sample, then quite soon one notices it's a few minutes slow!
My very cheap watch is within a second or two over a whole week, so there is no excuse for this clock from Alongsong.
