This is an excellent microscope kit that comes with everything needed to explore the microscopic world. Both children and adults can use this microscope. It’s a good size and crafted out of solid materials. Focusing it is easy and it produces a clear image. The LED light works well to illuminate the specimen being magnified. It’s very stable and easy to work with.The kit comes with starter slides, a phone adapter used to take pictures and videos, an AC adapter and a great carry bag that everything can fit neatly into. It’s a compact kit that is easy to transport.The overall quality of the microscope and included accessories is good. I have no problem using this microscope, and my children also like playing with it. It’s an excellent microscope that is exactly as described.

When I was a kid, I had no real interest in science or looking at things through a telescope or microscope but as an adult that has changed. I have two telescopes currently and wanted a microscope so I ordered this one, which is marketed as a beginner microscope. It was really easy to set up and came in/with a nice storage case. I really like all of the different features this microscope has, especially a light above and below the "deck" or whatever it's called. I haven't mastered which light I should use on a particular specimen, so I end up looking at it with each of the lights and will be able to tell which one is best, however, you can see different details depending on which light you use, so I still like looking at things with each. The microscope, objective lens and eyepieces all seem to be of really good quality and the microscope itself is heavy and balanced well so it doesn't tend to move around when trying to look at specimens. I have my own "work" desk in our basement office that I have the microscope on and because I didn't wanna have to take it in and out from the case and wanted to just leave it on the desk, I ordered a microscope cover for it to keep dust and things off of it, which I'd recommend if you're going to leave it out.Overall, I'm really happy with this microscope and it's always really interesting looking at things through it. My kids think it's pretty cool too and if I can get them into things like science with things like telescopes and microscopes than I'm all for it

At the current asking price, I wasn't expecting much from this, but I just wanted to get something my kids could use as an educational alternative to wasting away summer in front of the TV. I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a set this is. The optics are much better than I would have guessed, it has both a top and bottom light, and it even comes with several samples of things to look at. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone getting something for their kids or just for casual use.

A gift for my grand daughter - she LOVED it!! Not a toy, but substantial product, which she can use into high school and beyond.
