This set is really good quality. It is well made and feels really sturdy and solid when using it. It is also really lightweight so is easy to carry. It does the job nicely so is perfect when out and about metal detecting.

I clearly watch far too much searching for gold programmes as I expected this to actualy have a metal deetctor inside lol. This is exactly why you should read the description, look at the price and most of all use your common sense, everything i did not do when ordering this.
I live in the uk, regualrly go metal deetcting on the beach with my children so I know exactly how messy metal detecting can get and the fact we do not get fine gold over here like they do in the tv programmes lol.
This may seem a basic bit of kit, basically a sieve and a shovel but both parts are light weight and plastic so not exactly heavy and so very portable.
Great invention, so simple and effective although it's not without it's flaws.
I use it mainly on the beach which is perfect when the sand is dry but when it;s wet it does tend to clog up so do be awre of this and maybe take a twig or something you can find to keep it clog free.

Pleasantly surprised as both the trowel and the sandscoop seem a lot more sturdy than I expected, especially for the price. I have both a metal hand held and long reach sand scoops, but wanted something I could pack that was lightweight when travelling. Although I have not used them yet, both items seem up to the job and very good value. There was even a cheaper set available on Amazon, but chose this one as it had quick delivery and needed them for a trip in early November.

Metal detecting sand scoop and shovel set.
I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.
I thought this was quite good, the sand scoop is a good size, the design has lots of two different sized holes, to allow the dirt/sand to shake through, each of the hole sizes are decent, so the dirt falls through quickly enough. The lip at the front is thin but still sturdy enough to cut through. You have an easy grab and grip handle at the back, I like the way this sits into the sand scoop shape. This is roughly 21cm x 15cm x 14cm.
The shovel is also good, as it has a little measurement quide on up to 10cm/4". This has a little gripped area for your thumb, making it easier to scoop down. This is roughly 28cm long.
I think this is a good set for the price and I would recommend it as a starter set to metal detecting.

This scoop and shovel set is an essential aid for beach detecting. It quickly filters damp or dry sand to leave your 'treasure' behind. They are both lightweight and the shovel has depth markings so you can dig to just the right depth according to your signal. It is quite a bulky shape but still fits into a backpack with the detector etc. It is also very useful for finding interesting seashells buried in the sand! It seems competitively priced too. I can recommend it.
