Value for money is really ok! The lens is not really sharp when the aperture is open, but stopped down by two to three f-stops. Processing is ok so far. Autofocus could be a bit more precise. The picture of the fig/lilac was taken on a Canon 70d
Price/performance fully ok

think I'm a little bit in love with this lens! I've only used the stock lens on my Canon 1300, I wanted to experiment with other lenses but wasn't willing to part with big bucks for something I might not be able to continue with. So I was amazed by this lens and it's price! I'm sure this pales in comparison to the Canon 35mm lens. But for the money this lens is brilliant! I've found the autofocus on mine to be a bit poor, it doesn't seem to focus sharply on my subject, but manual focus isn't really a problem - a bit of practice will get you sharp images in no time. The image quality is great, the wide aperture creates a great bokeh effect and performs well in low light. I'm sure there are flaws in the picture, but none that my untrained eye can find. This lens is perfect for what I wanted: a cheap 35mm prime lens for me to practice with so I can judge whether or not I want to get one of the more expensive ones.

It's the first unofficial Canon lens I've bought and I was afraid to take a risk with a product that would give me more headaches than usual for less money. In this photograph, I had already checked with the filters that "cheap is expensive". But after a month and a half of testing, I can say that given the price, this is a pretty interesting target. The first thing I have to say is that unlike other users, the autofocus works perfectly for me. Sometimes it lets me down, but no more than Canon's cheap 50, to say the least. And the sharpness is more or less similar. The blur effect might not be that good, but again, the difference isn't scandalous. The only thing I would say that makes the lens look more 'Chinese' than 'Chinese' is its outward appearance. The fact that it's all plastic means that when you take it out of the box you'll think "Buff, you'll see what a Pufo". But far from that, in my opinion it is a good fixed lens that offers a lot of scope.

Unlikely you'd want to use it with an old EOS film camera, but if you know it didn't work for me, I tried using it on an old EOS 600 film camera and it didn't work. (It focuses but didn't let the camera pick up the shot - manual focus or autofocus) *** It worked fine on a Canon 5D Mark 3. *** I have sold my digital canon gear so I just wanted this inexpensive 35mm lens to go with my inexpensive film camera but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Unfortunately I had to send it back.

The lens is really good for the price. The optics are flawless and without visible defects, and therefore offers good and safe results. Unfortunately, the manual focus is very difficult to achieve, since the focus ring is very easy to move and changes as soon as the camera moves. (is not so bad with my 50 Yo) The bayonet lock, on the other hand, is less smooth-running and scratches a bit when it is attached to the camera. (is not the case with my 50s Yo either) The autofocus is acceptable in daylight but is no longer as reliable in poor lighting conditions or low contrast. Nevertheless, it is definitely recommended for amateur photographers

I can only recommend everything as a super gaudy objective description. Above
super lens

Slow, tormented AF motor Focus mechanism makes an unstable impression Not internally focused (rotating front lens) Contrast AF hardly works on the 60D and 5DII: it searches but is unsuccessful in 90% of the attempts. o Soft with an open aperture, but OK + Metal bayonet (worth mentioning in this price range) + Light + Good imaging performance + Very nice bokeh (blurred area) + Phase AF is accurate Since it fulfills the basic functions well and is very cheap, I think four stars are justified. If you need contrast AF and expect sharpness with an open aperture, you have to spend significantly more money.

Shipping was super fast. I was a little scared because of some of the bad reviews for the sharpness. I have to say that the sharpness is really okay, of course you can't compare it with a lens that costs €600 more. For amateur photographers, the lens is definitely sufficient. What is a bit annoying, and therefore a star deducted, is the strong blue tint.
Good lens for a very good price

I've been shooting with an EOS 600D since 2012. I already own several Canon lenses. So have direct comparison options. Since I was looking for a new lens to film for my YouTube channel, I came across the Chinese product and was very skeptical. As it turned out, my skepticism was unfounded. I am amazed at how well the small, inexpensive lens harmonises with my Canon and as far as the film and image quality is concerned, I can only be amazed. The autofocus works audibly and relatively quickly. 2 of my Canon lenses can't do it faster either. The accuracy of the autofocus is also good. Only the sensitivity of the focus is almost a little "unstable". Small vibrations can sometimes throw the focus off course. But I don't mind. I can't say anything about durability yet. Will show. My conclusion...at the price you hardly do anything wrong. Recommended. Die-hard professionals will certainly still find points of criticism, but for me as an ambitious hobby clipper it is a real delight.

already own several fixed focal lengths from Canon and wanted to expand my fund without investing several hundred euros. With the Yongnuo you can take reasonable pictures, work with high speed and depth of field, but it cannot compete with the much more expensive lenses. The autofocus on my Mark III works much worse than other lenses and is not always accurate. It is therefore advisable to check what the camera is doing from time to time. Especially when filming, I had slight problems. Overall, I can recommend the lens to anyone who is looking for a cheap and flexible fixed focal length. The definition and sharpness cannot keep up with my Canon lenses, but the bottom line is that you can also take very good pictures with this lens. The lens still surpasses any halfway affordable zoom lens. The low close-up limit enables completely new perspectives on small details.
