I have a crap filter. Discovered for me some time ago. I use this model on my Canon RF 24-70 2.8 to create a dreamy look. Of course, you can also fix this later by editing, but I like using the filter directly on the lens. The processing is impressive and the photos also look pretty. Because the price is also right, I'm happy to give it the full 5 stars. Of course, I also make a purchase recommendation.

The filters from K&F Concept are rated here. The filters are supplied together with three cleaning cloths for the objective lens and filters. The filter fits my Sony Alpha 6400 with 3.5-5.6/18-135mm lens. With a little sensitivity, the filter can be easily screwed onto the lens and then holds tight. The main purpose of the filter is that the light has much softer transitions and edges than without it. However, this is the lowest level, so the differences are really only minimal. In principle, the packaging is not that practical, since the filter has to be wrapped in the plastic foil again and again and then in the plastic packaging.

The K&F Black-Mist Filter is my first filter that creates an effect. I haven't had any experience with this and to be honest I'm very pleasantly surprised. Of course, this can look completely different for someone who already has experience in this area. The filter is delivered in the folding box familiar from K&F. In addition to a plastic box in which the filter is packed again, there are 3 welded-in microfibre cloths to make the filter and the lens dust-free before assembly. What I personally really like is the coating of the metal ring. Filters are often painted very smoothly and are difficult to tighten. A matt and very non-slip coating was chosen here. The grip is further supported by 2 zones with corrugations and you can tighten the filter very nicely and without any problems. It would be whining at a high level if you now wanted to add a better fitting storage box for the filter. There is nothing wrong with the fit and the smooth running of the thread. Therefore I award 5 out of 5 stars.

Well made filter. I have the 72mm 1/4 filter. Ideal for portraits... softens the edge and gives a slight glow in the highlights. That's subjective, but I wouldn't increase the filter power any further, and in fact you might want to consider the 1/8 power filter. Too strong a filter like this will result in your photos being taken at an 80's glamor shot booth at the mall...

It does create a unique look, and I don't think it is something that could be easily done in post-processing. It is thin and lightweight and easily fits in my filter pouch. With that said, I don't think that this will see much use for me. It's just not the kind of effect I will need often. I'm saying that as a photographer. If you are filming video, I think there are probably more valid use cases for this.

I also have the 1/4 filter and I find it is only slightly stronger than this one. They are both subtle and soft while being so light. This is not a sledgehammer, but a delicate mist. A very soft diffusion on light sources and specular highlights. A soft feeling for the skin. This is a much, much lighter effect than the old, high quality French silk stocking over the lens. So slightly dreamy, a slight sheen without being overdone. I haven't compared it to more expensive brands, but I'm very happy with it. I can't see myself putting it out for much more than portraiture. I plan to experiment to see what it can do for my other photographic work. Beautifully packaged and safe,

This has become my favorite filter! I photograph a lot of athletes and I often create lights behind them and this filter allows me to make those lights bloom instead of making them too sharp and harsh. Big fan!! Great quality and feel - I will be getting more of these in other filter sizes.

I have the 1/4 filter as well and I feel the that is just slightly stronger than this. They are both subtle and soft, with this being ever so slight. this is no sledge hammer, but a delicate mist. A very soft diffusion on light sources and specular highlights. A softness to the skin. this is a much, much lighter effect than the old, high end French silk stocking over the lens. ever so slightly dreamy, a light glow without being overkill. I have not compared to pricier brands, but I am quite happy with this. I don't imagine that I will be bringing it out for much more than portraiture, I intend to experiment to see what it can bring to my other photography work.

Beautifully packaged and secure, with the added bonus of 3 microfiber cleaning cloths, this is quite the bargain if you are in the market for such a filter, but if you want to have a noticeable effect you might go 1/4 or stronger.

K&F Concept 77mm Black Diffusion 1/8 Filter, Mist Dreamy Cinematic Effec Filter for Video, Vlog and Portrait Photography K Series This is a 1/8 f-stop black diffusion filter that reduces contrast and makes the lights shine. It's not exactly a soft focus filter, it gives the overall image a softer, dreamier and glowing effect. K&F filters are very well made and very well developed. I've used several of their filters recently and rate them among the best in the business. These black diffusion effects are pleasant and subtle, at least with the 1/4 and 1/8 stop filters. With the 1/2 and 1 stop models, the effect is even more extreme. These are great for weddings, glam and portraits or anything that needs to add a soft, diffused glow to the image. Equally effective for videos and photos. A fun effect to play with for added drama and atmosphere. Works best with scenes with a lot of backlighting or scenes with strong backlighting. Modern lenses and sensors are so sharp that sometimes you just want a softer atmosphere. This is a good tool in the toolbox to get dreamy and dramatic quality instantly.

I got the filter for my EOS 750D with 18-55mm lens. The 58mm variant easily fits on top of the lens. In a direct comparison with 2 pictures of the same motif you can definitely see a difference. The dark areas are more diffuse, only slightly, but the difference is visible. Beautiful effects can be conjured up with the filter lens.
