I like the effect of this filter. Just provides a gentle glow, smoothed the skin a bit, and makes background lights look softer. The glass appears to be high quality as well. Nice filter.

You can achieve the same effects with your computer programs, but I like to do things "old school" by using different filters to achieve the desired effect. This filter works well.

K&F Concept Nano-K Series Black-Mist 1/4 Filter 67mm The filter makes a good quality impression. The effect is smooth and it gives a creative look to the images. I tested the filter with the Tamron 28 -75 2.8 G2 and am happy with the results. The model's face is slightly blurred and it saves time in post-processing. Price - performance and image results are good.

The threads are nice and smooth and the optics of the filter is quality. The effect might seem subtle to most, but it does give portraits a little something extra, and also work nicely for video. All of the lens wipes were a nice added bonus!

I love the look this filter gives. Not too much light, and it significantly reduces glare and enriches blacks. Great addition to the photographer's toolbox.

Diffusion filters like this come in "black" and "white." The white ones I like to call "bottom up" diffusors. They increase the brightness of the shadows as they diffuse.

A black diffuser is a "top down" diffuser, taking the highlights down slightly while softening the image.

Fits my Canon L-series lenses perfectly, and as a diffusion effect, gives nice image quality at a good price. In fact, where some types of filters are worth paying the premium, a diffusion filter is a place to save a little cash when you can. Since the effect itself essentially degrades the image to get a creative effect, so long as the creative effect looks good, you're getting your money's worth.

Five stars.

An excellent diffusion filter. It looks more like a standard diffusion than a black diffusion. This allows you to make the highlights bloom without losing contrast. And at 1/8 it's not too strong for most situations. I absolutely love these. K&F has another winner ahead of it.

I have a few Black Mist diffusers including the more expensive K&F Nano-X and the even more expensive Tiffen. I bought this version of the Nano K series halfway expecting to return it, but thought it was a test given the much lower cost. In terms of construction, it's just as solid and well-crafted as the Nano-X, using the same finely machined aircraft-grade aluminum. The screw thread is precise and smooth. K&F gives very little useful information about the actual differences between their filter series, except that the Nano-K is intended as a "base class" compared to the supposedly more professional Nano-X and Nano-X Pro series. If you read the manufacturer's fine print, they are all made of optical glass from Japan, are multi-coated and resistant to moisture and mold. So what about the effect power? Again, I was prepared for disappointment. All brands of this type of black diffusion filter have subtle differences, as numerous YouTube videos show. The Tiiffs, for example, tend to produce slightly less intense diffusion than the Nano-X at a given rating (i.e. 1/4 vs 1/8 etc.), but both are equally good at capturing the blacks and fine detail in preserving the mids, which is why we like them. Compared to the Nano-X, I can't see any visible difference in the image produced by the Nano-K. This was tested on a Canon C100 Mk-2 with a variety of lenses and conditions. For this reason, my advice would be when choosing between Nano-X and Nano-K without hesitation to choose the latter. A side note: the Nano K series appears to have been originally marketed in Germany, judging by Google searches and the fine print on the packaging i.e. GmbH as the place of origin. My conspiracy theory is that these were initially aimed at Europe's demographic and price expectations. Anyhow, the bottom line is they are a phenomenal bargain here in Canada/USA and shouldn't be missed while they're available. that these were initially aimed at Europe's demographic and price expectations. I mainly use this great filter at live concerts. With the filter effect, you can capture wonderful light moods. The processing of the filter is good and it feels very valuable. Unlike the premium models from K&F, this filter comes in a plastic box, which is not easy to open the first time. I am satisfied with the performance of the filter and would buy it again.

An excellent diffusion filter. It looks more like a standard diffusion than a black diffusion. So you get the highlights to bloom but retain contrast.
And at 1/8th its not to strong for most situations.
Absolutely love these. K&F have another winner on their hands.
