52mm Black Mist 1/4 + ND8-128 Variable ND Filter with Double-sided 28-layer Anti-reflection Green Film and Lever Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.2026
When used on a Nikon D3400 18-55mm it gives great results! Since I was curious to see the result before I buy it, I thought some people would like to see a comparison between a picture with the filter and another without the filter...

A good filter that keeps what it promises. Unfortunately, I bought it too late, on the manufacturer's website it cost around € 50 for a long time, now all of a sudden it doesn't anymore. I find the effect too extreme for outdoor shots, although of course it always depends on the scene and the desired result. But you can certainly recommend him.

I use a Fujifilm X-T3 camera and have this to match my 55-200mm zoom lens. The mounting ring attaches easily to the lens and I'm a big fan of the magnetic attachment for this filter. There are many different brands of diffusion filters. I have used Tiffen brand filters in the past and have always been happy with them, but when I came across the K&F filters I was dying to try them.
I have used K&F products in the past and have been particularly pleased with their lens adapter system (I used to shoot with Pentax cameras and lenses and their excellent lens adapter has enabled me to use my old Pentax lenses with my Fujifilm camera.
This magnet system does not disappoint. Replacing the filters is very easy with the magnetic attachment system. The lens cap for the filter system has been criticized by some but I think it works very well. It actually reminds me of some lens caps on my Pentax system, so I felt very comfortable with them.
As for the quality of the diffusion - excellent! I really enjoy the softer look this diffusion delivers without being too heavy.
However, one thing surprised me a bit. I expected to be able to install this filter system and then still use my tulip shaped lens hood, but I can't do that with this K&F attached to my lens. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if that really is the Fujifilm system's fault as I've found the lens hoods to be difficult to attach compared to other camera systems I've used in the past. That said, I intend to purchase more K&F brand ND filters to take full advantage of this magnetic attachment system. It's a winner in my book.

I took some fantastic photos of my grandchildren with this K+F 1/4 (67mm) Diffusion Filter. Ok they are my grandkids and incredibly beautiful and photogenic but this filter really made the pictures pop. It softened her skin and actually revealed more detail. I use a Nikon 750 with a Nikon 85mm 1.8 lens. I usually use a B+W F-Pro filter, which is very bright. I took most of the pictures with the K+F Diffusion filter on top of the B+W filter. It is incredible to attach the K+F filter. You simply screw in the ring and insert the filter. The latter attaches magnetically, but it's a fairly solid connection. The filter comes with a lens cover that also attaches magnetically, but not as tightly. I've noticed that it tends to come loose when the camera is pushed a bit in my camera bag. That's my only reservation about this filter. I also took off the B+W filter and used the K+F as the only filter on the camera. It works well, but I prefer to use both: I like the effect and I'm incredibly lazy too. The good news is that even with two filters, there was no vignetting.

Magnets are magic. Don't get me wrong, these magnets just aren't quite as strong as I would prefer for something covering my expensive glass. The Black Soft Diffusion Filter is interesting. Wouldn't be my first choice next time, but it offers an interesting softening of light sources like campfires, night lights, etc. A bit spooky, but subtle.

It manages to give a nice atmosphere to the photos, too bad it arrived cracked and had to return it

Nice effects, especially for wedding and couple shootings. With a long focal length I would almost use the 1/8. Price performance is right.

I bought this filter to test it against the Tiffen brand Pro-Mist and it didn't disappoint. There is a video on YouTube comparing these two filters side by side and the K&F is definitely a competitor. The price is fair which I liked, it also came in a nice container. Don't pay too much for the tiffen in my opinion.

I have a Black Mist Pro 1/8 filter that I use quite a bit, but wanted to try a 1/4 for a more pronounced "bloom" in conjunction with a dream sequence I was shooting. I've seen the K&F 1/4 Black Diffusion Filter for about 20% less than the cost of a Black Mist Pro so thought I'd give it a try. I've used K&F filters before and have always been happy with them, although perceived as lower quality filters by some "professionals". I'm happy to say that the K&F 1/4 Black Diffuser is every bit as good as the Black Mist Pro equivalent and achieves exactly the effect I was looking for with no distortion or color cast. And if you consider the magnetic docking system I would say that it's even better than the Black Mist Pro filter (this is the first magnetic filter I've used and I love it). The price/performance ratio for this filer is excellent.
