This is the fifth trail camera I have owned, so I have some experience with some different versions. This one probably has the best instruction manual I have seen - not only is it a good size and the print large enough to read without a magnifying glass, it is well written. But even then, the manual is hardly needed - I set up most of the settings on the camera after installing the battery and memory card without even having to reference the manual except for a couple of settings (to be sure I knew what they meant).

It takes very good photos and video - I have posted examples of both. It has yet to trip the detector at night. But even on the medium sensitivity setting during the day, it did capture a cat walking past about 20 to 25 feet away from the camera. I have some other cameras that sometimes don't trip that reliably when a human walks by. So high marks on sensitivity and clarity of photos and video - at least in the light. The microphone is perhaps not as sensitive on this camera as some others, but then it also does not seem to pick up significant wind noise either - which I would say is a good thing. Just note you may have to increase volume when listening for things that are not all that close to the camera.

Much like other cameras of this type, I have it set to take 3 photos then video. And in that type of setting, it captures the photos first, THEN starts recording. So if you want to capture more on video and earlier, do one photo and then video or just set it for video. I added a photo and video showing when the photo first captures and you can see how the video started later (granted there were two photos in between there). But tripping the detector seems to happen pretty early and does well.

On that note, and helpfully, this camera did not trip every time the wind blew the leaves on trees, as occurred with another camera I have. So this one - to date anyway - has only captured people and animals walking though, not any and all motion that happens to occur in the frame, which is nice. Then I do not have to sort through hundreds of "leaves moving on the trees" photos and videos to find the ones that have something important on it.

I do not have any infrared photos or videos yet - I was hoping to catch some coyote/ pheasant / possum / rabbit as we do have those come through our property in other areas. No such luck yet here, but if/when I get some, I will post and update the review to include that experience.

Very good camera so far. Time will tell how it does in more severe weather conditions and in infrared.

[UPDATE]
- K&F Concept contacted me and inform of new changes/upgrades to their trail cam. They also adjusted the selling price to makes this cam more competitive.
- Also this makes me feels more certain about their after-sales customer support, which is a crucial decision when making a purchase. I would rather pay a bit more knowing that the company stand behind their product 100%.
- Add 1Star in overall rating for the after-sale customer service support.
**********
- I was excited to try out the K & F Concept trail camera to see how it stacked against my 2 other trail cams. I have a few K&F Concept brands for my photography so this is a brand that I knew. Unfortunately, it didn’t fare well against my 2 other trail cams.

- But let’s get to the good point: Video and Photo quality, which is on par to my other trail cams and so no complaint about it. It’s quite good for a trail cam.

- Now the not so good point. The design. The trail cam only uses 4xAA batteries to power the unit. While it’s ok, my other trail cams have an extra slot for another 4xAA batteries for double the working time. Another trail cam I own has an internal battery, solar charging panel and extra slot for 4xAA batteries too. So this trail K&F Trail cam is lacking when compared to my other 2 cams.

- NOTE: There is an option for you to run the trail cam by plugging in. To do that, you’d need a connector with a rounded/barrel plug. It uses 6V 1A to run the cam.

- As for the memory, The package I ordered comes with a 32GB memory card. The type of memory card is an SD type, not micro-sd like my other trail cams. This doesn’t really matter much as both types of memory cards work the same way, the only thing different is the size. That’s all. Not a bad point, but just to point out for those who wonder what type of memory card it uses.

- The Camera comes with a strap for you to strap to structures or tree trunks. I have a slot on the bottom to screw in a mount or tripod mount, but this doesn’t include any mount at all. My other 2 cameras include a mount and so I prefer K&F includes a mount along with the strap. Too bad they didn’t.

- Finally, the price. It’s the most expensive one I own so far. The price of $169 (at the time of review, including all savings) is a big spending for me. The lack of extra ways to power the device and the high price is just a big barrier for me to consider this over my other trail cams. For price comparison, my current trail cams cost 23% and a whopping 40% less than this K&F trail cam. It’s hard for me to justify spending that much.

This K&F concept trail camera is easy to use, has a fast response time, is reliable and fast to trigger, and is waterproof. It also comes with a 32GB SD card, which can be set up and used immediately with four AA batteries installed. Meanwhile, this camera can shoot up to 24MP pictures and 1296P@30fps clear video with sound.

I have some veggies in my backyard and many insects flying around all summer. Originally, I used this camera to observe these insects. But I found the night mode to be better than the day mode for shooting flying insects while only recording human activity during the day. At the same time, this camera has one obvious disadvantage: When motion is detected, in the "PHOTO + VIDEO" mode, the camera will take pictures before recording, which means that it can't take both photos and video simultaneously. In addition, it has a built-in 3.5mm DC interface but doesn't come with a DC connector. Furthermore, there is no built-in Bluetooth or WiFi. Therefore, checking saved videos and photos in the winter is difficult.

"This trail cam is smaller and lighter then my previous trail cam which stopped working after 5 years.

I choose the 02D2 Tree Barks color and it blends in perfectly with the foliage in my area. The camera comes with a mounting strap, USB cable and 32GB SD Card. This camera requires 8 AA batteries which are not included.

The camera will take 24mp pictures and shoot video at a max reslolution of 2304x1296 @ 30 fps. It has night vision with low glow LEDs.

The camera still pictures and videos look great. The night vision and motion detection also were pretty well.

The price of the camera at the time of my review is about average. I'm using my camera as a security cameras for a remote property and will use it as a game camera this fall during hunting season. So far we've captured two deer, a skunk and coyote on the camera.

If you're looking for a good trail cam that's easy to use and affordable this one is worth consideration."

This trail cam is pretty nice. It is quite compact and pretty lightweight despite being water resistant enough that it survived outdoors fine in the rain.

The video quality is pretty good. It has a wide field of view and the actual picture is quite clear.

I liked the mounting strap. It held in place very securely

I received this K&F Concept trail camera and have struggled to get it up and operating from out of the box even with the quick start guide being made available. The buttons around the LCD screen used to select the functions, menu and playback of videos are very hard to identify/see in low light conditions. Once I got the trail cam controls figured out and installed the batteries and SD card, the trail cam worked well with very clear and sharp 24 MP colour images and videos in both light and dark conditions. This is an OK trail cam and pretty much performs as advertised.

This is a great hand sized trail camera that you can also mount on a tripod or attach to a stand or tree using the straps included. It's light weight, waterproof, and the camera picks up good quality for night vision. So far we used it around our house and yard but we are going to the trail soon and I'll add even more pictures in the future. Enjoy!
