The tripod is two pounds lighter than the one I had been using and much shorter when collapsed. I really like that! However, when I tilt the camera head towards the locking nut, there can be interference with the base of the quick release plate. I've discovered that you can pull out the spring loaded handle to reset its location but there are two issues with doing that. 1. Its tedious and with my big hands, hard to get in there, and; 2. I'm right handed and it seems like the handle was placed on the wrong side. I have to work it with my left hand. Turning the camera around to swing the handle to the right puts it ahead of the camera where it's difficult to see, not to mention that the ball slot (used to clear the ball stem and tilt the camera forward) is now at the back of the camera. Pretty much useless there unless you take photos of the sky. I considered swapping out the Manfrotto ball head from my other tripod as it has the tightening handle at the rear, easily accessible but I felt like I would lose the weight advantage. So, I probably wouldn't have bought this if I had know how inconveniently placed all the control/tightening handles were, but again, I do like the weight savings.WEEKS LATER: After using this tripod for awhile I’m getting used to avoiding the design issues that caused the interference. However as a product designer myself I recognize that “workaround” should not be in a design engineers vocabulary. K&F contacted me and told me they have discussed the design issues with the team. As a result I’ve added a star to the rating.

This tri-pod is everything you want. Sturdy, carbon fiber, twist lock legs. Fits inside my bag if I want to. A hook for a weight bag. The head feels a little tight not so smooth maybe it has to break in.

I send you photo which is one, perhaps the most important reason. The possibility to have the all family together, including the "photographer"...
The experience went according to expectations .

Just got this today and seems okay so far. Can't tell but it may be used and returned as the leg locks seem a but gritty and stiff when I turn them. However it seems sturdy. I took some photos on my Nikon 750 and 200 2.8 Sigma lens and it seems to hold the weight well with both landscape and portrait orientation. I will be using it in the next few weeks in possibly windy conditions (will use backpack on hook for added stability) and will update this review after that. They did give an extra arca Swiss style plate. I just wish it were a bit lighter as I thought a full carbon fiber one might have been lighter. The is not difficult to fold up, just remember to push down the orange clips and then push back and up towards the center column. The star off for the grittiness and slight stiffness felt in the leg conections while extending or contracting. Oh and the instructions are quite bad althou6you will probably get what they mean.
So not as lightweight as they seemed to portray. Also maybe a used one? So not as lightweight as they seemed to portray. Also maybe a used one?

I like the fact that this tripod is lightweight, and the carbon fiber makes it a durable tripod for travel. I had some difficulty with one of the legs not extending properly. However, I think it was simply stuck temporarily because it was new. Legs extend and descend flawlessly now. I have not played with this enough to really familiarize myself with all of the features, but the couple of times I have used it on a trip, it works fine. I need to practice with the ball head so that my camera does not flop to and fro. The tightening device to secure the camera is a screw handle and I'm not very comfortable with the security that provides. I wish it had a better release, more of a quick release that is more secure in holding and releasing the camera, on the foot plate that goes from camera to the ball head mount. Otherwise, I find this to be a very useful and sufficient tripod for throwing in the suitcase on a trip.

I bought this K&F Concept Carbon Fiber Tripod for my new Sony A7III. It is really light and portable. This tripod meets my need perfectly. The legs also are very easily adjustable with a quick turn and I like the ball head that is really solid made and easy to adjust my camera.I am really recommend the good made and high quality tripod.

This is a very nice travel tripod. I always get backpacks with loops to hold a small tripod, but all the small tripods I've had were flimsy, and not worth hauling around. All of my good tripods are too big for that purpose. This one now fills that void. It's very strong. When extending the legs for the first time, I did have to yank it a bit to get them out, but after I freed them they slid smoothly. They rotate all the way around and the maximum angle locks in with a button. The top arm extends up with 2 segments, and each leg has 5 segments. This is a great tripod to carry around, but if you need to deploy it quickly, it might frustrate you. It takes a good minute to fully deploy if you know what you're doing. It comes with a ball head and a quick release plate. The ball head glides smoothly, and has a compass and spirit level attached to the top to ensure you have perfect framing. The ball head also can rotate with what feels like a fluid head swivel on the bottom. Simple pans are easy, but you have to twist the camera instead of holding a handle. The quick release plate locks down with a thumb screw. You can loosen the screw and slide it back and forth a small amount, but it hits a stop without letting your camera slide off and fall to the ground. It's a fairly small quick release plate, but it's fairly strong. It has a nice steel hook on the bottom that you can attach a sand bag to, for if you plan on shooting in the wind.Overall this is a great kit that comes with the tripod, a ball head, and a quick release plate. It has everything you need besides the camera.Highly recommended.

I am a professional architecture and interior photographer and also do videography. Was looking for a tripod that is light yet stable and sturdy (since my equipment can be heavy i.e. tilt shift/telezoom lenses, and expensive). This K&F tripod ticked all the boxes and the price point is perfect. This tripod has an excellent and smooth quick release system which is important for me especially when moving from location to location during the critical lighting window for outdoor shots. The tripod's height is impressive and it can be extended with an option to attach additional weight at the centre of gravity point to make it even more secure. The tripod's colour is vibrant and the finishing is smooth.I personally prefer twist locks for the tripod legs, although this is definitely a matter of personal preference. The legs can also be extended outwards using the quick release clip to have an even lower height. This may be particularly helpful when trying to get a lower vantage point for artistic reasons, such as when focussing on the foreground.Would definitely reccomend as a studio or outdoor tripod or even for events and travel! Carbon fiber tripods are ideal for travelling.

Overall it is a great tripod and would recommend it. This is my second purchase of this brand and this time around it seems the legs were stuck. Two of the three legs required me to forcibly extend the sections. It was like the tightening part was stuck to the portion below, not allowing the leg to extend. Once I pulled out the whole section, moved the tightening ring up, it worked fine.
