Recently had a couple of uses which were following a floor drain for a clog and snaking a piece of 3/8" tubing from the 2nd floor of our house to the basement, for use with our Reverse Osmosis system. What I particular liked about this device is the ease of use and particular the 16 foot cable length. Most products do not have a fiber optic cable this long. As a Product and Design Engineer I'll attest to the high quality of the parts and construction. One of my better buys.

I bought this camera for one specific job on a car I was working on. My kids give me a hard time that I like to work on cars or home projects just to buy new tools. This may partly be true. I literally received this camera with the 16 foot probe within hours or placing the order on a Saturday and completed the task that evening. Since then I have used the camera at least six more times for different projects around the house. I have found items that roll behind furniture, I have inspected inside a wall before I installed a big screen TV, and I used it locate a drain line on the sunroof of my SUV. I have looked at these cameras before at Lowes or Home Depot and literally could not spend $300 on a camera with a three foot probe. I plan on using the camera this spring to inspect drain lines around the house. My neighbor has already borrowed it twice. I suggested this camera to a friend as a birthday gift for her husband. Love it!

I recently moved into a new house and I am replacing lights, fans, and running new wiring for both electrical and networking. This saves a tremendous amount of time. The previous owners did not install electrical boxes for lights or fans and I am able to see what is inside the wall or ceiling before I cut drywall to put in a box. It has keep me from cutting into AC ducts. The instructions could be better and the side light is not the brightest for any distance over 8 to 10 inches but it does the job for me.It is nice I can save the pictures and review them once I climb off the ladder.I would recommend.

Great tool, especially for the price. It gets difficult to maneuver the camera once it is more than a few feet out, but still works great and let's the operator see deep into spaces and even underwater. I have used it to chase down small water leaks in a large boat superstructure where access is very limited without removing a bunch of panels. Also used it to trace out wiring problems and locate connections instead of, again, having to remove a bunch of trim and panels.

My husband is an electrician and I bought this for him for Christmas. He loves it! It is easy to use and makes it so he can see behind walls and makes pulling wires much easier. Also, makes less work and less mess! He has been complaining about visibility being bothersome for years. He said this has solved many of his problems and has made many jobs easier! We even had a clog in our bathroom sink. He was excited to use his new tool. He let me see how it worked by snaking it down the sink. I was amazed how well I was able to see. The light is great! The picture quality/clarity on the screen is awesome!

I have used this endoscope camera both in the engine compartment of my vehicle, which is difficult to access, and to inspect our sewer line and I find the image quality satisfactory in view of the fairly low price.
If the clog in the drain pipe can be located (and cleared) without hiring a costly plumber, it's already a worthwhile investment.
Only the recording and storage function did not work and it turned out that the memory card was defective.
The seller responded obligingly and generously replaced the purchase price with a higher-quality memory card.
The durability of the camera will have to be seen, but will hardly be used due to a lack of demand.

In any case, the neighbors were already delighted that they could fall back on my "endoscope camera service" in an emergency. :-)

Most scopes come with much less snake-light length, this camera is water tight and reaches more than 15 feet. I'm remodeling a kitchen and this scope has come in handy for both electrical and plumbing. I do simple electrical stuff like adding a switch for my disposal. But, when things should be easy and aren't I get frustrated. I should have been able to fish a wire 3' up the wall but there was a horizontal block in the framing. Instead of struggling to figure it out the scope clearly showed me what was in the wall, and once you can see what's what, then you can deal with it. great tool!

I originally bought this borescope/endoscope for a specific home project, but I suspected it would be very useful for several other chores and projects around the house. I was definitely correct and very glad I paid the little bit extra for the 16.4' of cable. I have used it to look inside walls for evidence of moisture, insulation, and even rodents; to look down or through duct-work for air returns and vents to check cleanliness; to inspect the insides of water pipes to check for blockages; and to look for gaps in exterior seals to prevent cold air, moisture, insects and/or animals from finding their way into the house. The 16.4' cable is great, but the length of cable plus the handheld monitor make it hard to manage by yourself, so having someone to dedicated to feeding the cable and another to hold the monitor is best. The screen size is nice and large, the picture has always been clear (unless the camera is pressed up against something or something got stuck to the lens), and taking pictures and flipping between forward and side cameras is very intuitive. Slightly brighter LEDs would be nice, but the three levels of brightness definitely help for dark, recessed areas.

Bought this to find out what my son’s unstable EX girlfriend stuffed down the filler neck of his car’s gas tank to prevent it from being filled (blue glass pieces for decorating the bottom of an aquarium as it turns out). Set up and use was very simple and I thought the video quality was great... easy to snap pictures or video and downloading them to a computer is simple. The data card is included. The cable was stiff, however after a few turns down the filler neck, aiming the camera became difficult. Comes with a decent case... there is a very small tongue and groove to line up when attaching the camera cable to the video unit (I don’t think the instructions were real clear on that). For those that care, this is made in China.

I use this endoscope daily and inspect cavity walls. I found the quality to be robust and the image quality clear. The screen is a good size which helps me see the condition of the cavity. I find the dueling camera an important factor in recommending this to any cavity wall or retrofit surveyor.
