The design of the microscope is robust, functional and easy to use. The software in the microscope is simple and navigating with the buttons on the front of the screen can be a little awkward, but I got used to it after a while. It's a breeze to connect to the Windows 10 camera app and use that instead of the "amcap" software. (I tried the amcap software and it didn't take pictures, it took videos.) The display on the digital screen is good! and the lights to illuminate the object under the scope are good and bright. Adjusting the light is easy. I used this to classify macro invertebrates and couldn't be happier. When connected to the Windows 10 Camera app, you can easily take pictures or videos. And when connected to a computer, the microscope's battery is constantly charged (so the microscope and light are always working)! I've posted a few pictures of my critters. I was very surprised how well this product worked for the price. I felt there would be a high probability I would have to return it due to the low cost, but it does appear to work exactly as described. If you're looking at printed circuit boards, you might want to add some side lighting, but the built in LEDs are more than adequate for general usage. It will take pictures and videos, but the menu system and buttons are not intuitive, and while the pictures are useful and adequate for inspection, they're not high quality, especially with the default settings. It's important to remove the protective, clear cap at the bottom. I keep the manual handy for reference. Due to the low cost and how well it actually works, I give it 5 stars. I also LOVE the fact that it comes with an easily replaceable 18650 Lithium battery. It does come with a micro USB cable for charging but not a charger.

Bought 2 of these one for me and a friend without a CPU that is starting in coin collection. UPDATE We looked at more expensive microscopes and made this decision because of the simple operation and this one has that. Have found quite a lot of errors we missed with conventionally handheld vision enhancers.

My dad loves to collect coins and needs to see every texture on the coin. This product is perfect the screen is a good size for him to see everything. He is happy with the product completely recommend this product. Try it out!

Very easy to use and got it quickly. If you need something for large objects this is not for you. Will do small coins and insects with incredible clarity
