I recently upgraded my older Nikon DX (APSC) Dlsr to a Sony Alpha Series full frame camera. Instead of spending a fortune on new lenses I can use my existing Nikon lens collection including my old lens from my original film camera. The aperture ring with a circle for large and small works its not stepped it just works on a smooth sliding scale. There was vignetting on the corners of my 200mm as its DX ( APSC) a smaller sized focal plane but not the 40 mm macro Nikon DX. Well designed.
