I recommend everyone to have a UV lens in their kit, especially if you like it in very sunny but windy climates like me. It really helps protect my lens from flying debris and things in general. Photography is not a cheap hobby/profession, so taking a few bucks to invest in some protection is necessary.

I needed to protect the lens on my FZ300 and this filter has some good reviews.
The overall quality seems very good and the packaging works well when it's larger than necessary. The filter threads well without affecting hood fit, stows or deploys upside down and shows no vignetting at 25mm. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable degradation in photo quality.
I'll update if I find more issues in the future, but this filter seems like a good buy.

Bought a Tamron 150-600mm G2 EF to photograph cars on the track. It uses a 95mm threaded mount. Required a quality UV filter to protect the huge front element from tire and road debris from passing cars. Works perfect!
I always have the lens hood on, so I can't speak for flare or ghosting.

I took a couple of pictures without a UV filter and then a couple of identical pictures with a UV filter. There was absolutely no distortion or quality change. None at all. Pretty amazing I didn't even notice anything was on. This is a quality product and I am very happy with this purchase.
