52mm Variable ND Filter Black Diffusion 1/4 Effect & ND2-32 Filter 2-in-1, with 28 Multi-Layer Coatings - Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.1809
Magnetic filters are just awesome, especially when they include a magnetic lens cap. The K&F Concept 1/4 Black Soft Diffusion Filter offers a high dose of the “CineBloom” effect in a magnetic quick-swap system that includes a lens cap.
Installation is easy and starts with installing the threaded magnetic ring adapter. Once the magnetic adapter is installed, the filter is attached by magnetic attraction, as is the lens cap afterwards.
The filter looks great with no distortion or color shift. These are fairly slim, so I didn't have any issues with vignetting.
The reason I took off a star is that the lens cap is quite difficult to remove. The magnetic forces are ridiculously strong, too much. Removing the lens cap is tricky, and I usually have to use so much force that I end up running a finger across the lens once the lens cap finally moves.
Other than that, it's another quality filter kit from K&F Concepts. Buy with confidence.

A solid variable ND filter. The filter is machined really well and the overall fit and finish is excellent. The orange anodized tab looks really good and adds a nice aesthetic in addition to aiding in adjustment. The dial is smooth enough to not unscrew from the lens but is firm enough to not drift once it is set in place. All of the shots I used the ND filter on confirmed the filter is good for between 1 and 5 stops and I never got any weird patterns with any of the settings. There is a slight color cast that leans toward blueish which is similar to every other ND filter I have ever used but it is easily fixed in post. Spring can be unpredictable and it can be a huge pain to swap filters between clouds a variable ND filter is convenient as well as cutting down on the number of pieces to bring shooting.
The pouch/holder is nicely made but bulky. A more compact hards case would be preferable but it is anice add-on at this price point. Sometimes I wish the filter had some kind of click or stop at the different stops but overall it's not a huge issue. It would be nice to preset the stop in this way, but not a deal breaker.
Overall the picture quality is good and the K&F ND filter is a solid buy at the price point. It has less color shift than other cheaper filters and work the investment.

Right off the bat I will say that the mist diffusion on this filter is quite strong. Seem more like a 1/2 than a 1/4. I took a picture with the filter and without and attached to this review so you can compare for yourself. The ND has some minor color shift. Actually quite a bit less color shifting that I was expecting for a lower cost variable ND but there certainly is some which seems to add a bit of green to my eyes. What really surprised me was that there wasn't any noticeable X pattern even when setting the ND to it's strongest strength. This filter does have a hard stop so I assume they set the stop before setting the ND to too high of a strength.
So while this is a solid mist variable ND, the diffusion is so strong I think this filter is going to have limited use in my bag unless I am going for a super dreamy look. That being said it doesn't take away from the quality of this filter.

The filter comes in a plastic carrying casing with high quality foam to protect it. The filter is a tight fit in the case so you can be sure once stored it wont move around or get damaged during transit.
The filter itself feels to be of good built quality with metal frame holding the glass in place. I like the lever to adjust the stops, the action is smooth and will not move on its own. I would have preferred if K&F included a lens cap just in case, I wanted to leave the filter on the camera.
Considering the price, the image quality is comparable to high end products. I found the image quality to be excellent as I did not notice any chromatic aberration, loss of definition or the dreaded X from graduated filter.
You can see some product and some test images I did at home to test the product. I hope you found this useful, if so, please vote positive below

The metal, variable ND filter helps with long exposures and manages to reduce a few steps. Of course it's not as strong as an ND 1000, but for shots that aren't taken in direct sunlight, it's enough to smooth out water, for example. The processing is top and you can get nice pictures with it. Including cleaning cloth - and super case in which the ND filter is not damaged. (If you don't know: the diameter of your lens is written directly on your lens). The filter is also perfect for adhering to the 180° shutter rule when filming with DSLR /DSLM. We are convinced! Simply screw on the ND filter - done! The protective cap from the lens also fits on it :)

This polarizing filter and neutral density filter pleasantly surprised me, it is not overpriced and the quality of the photos is not bad at all, I have taken several photos with the different degrees that it allows to subtract light and the result is good, if you like silk effects in the water this is an essential filter.
It also has the polarizer that eliminates reflections on crystalline surfaces.

Similar to the expensive Pro-Mist filters, this gives videos and photos a more cinematic glow as it adds a slight haze to the image. The filter gives the highlights a fog-like effect without sacrificing sharpness and also smooths out skin tones. Overall nice filter that fits and protects the camera and is best to have than use a cheap UV filter. The glass won't stick to oil or fingerprints, so you don't have to keep wiping it down.

I am generally satisfied with this filter from K&F, it makes it possible to filter light sources at night and create a pleasant atmosphere during the day. I use it with Xpro-1, which is combined with the film playback of a digital camera.

I have the threaded version of this filter from K&F Concept and was very happy with the quality. I use it regularly to add a subtle softening effect to my paintings. This new magnetic version is awesome! The magnetic attachment is very strong, making it quick and easy to install or remove the filter and lens cap. The construction quality is excellent; K&F filters are largely in the same league as Tiffen filters. We recommend!
I see that K&F have started making a number of different filters (ND, polarizers and diffusion) using this magnet system and I would definitely be interested in adding more to my collection because it is an excellent system. It would work particularly well for the 10-stop ND filter, since that's the kind of filter you have to keep turning on and off (because you can't see through it to focus). If you can turn it on and off it would make it SO much easier to use.

The black piece you see in the photo is a lens cap. The transparent piece that is underneath serves as a kind of filter. The cap underneath is more of a free-pass attachment that sticks to either the filter or the lens cap, depending on what your goal is.
It's basically just magnets, so it was really easy to set this up. I just screwed in the base, then the filter clicked into place with no problem, then the lens cap snapped on with no problem.
The quality of this set is great. Appearance is great too. I shook the camera a little and the cap didn't fall off. Seems to be a great alternative to the locking mechanism that comes with regular caps.
Overall I am very satisfied with this set.
