82mm Variable ND Filter ND2-ND400 (1-9 Stops) with Putter HD 28 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.1466
I use the filter for landscape photography when taking long exposure to water surfaces.
Pros:
- Very good darkening adjustment
- Filter manufactured precisely and is easy to turn - Small lever makes adjustment easier
- but it also likes to stick to the chamber bag when removing or plugging back the camera
- No optical defects can be detected (flares, loss of sharpness...)
Cons:
- It is reasonably long and therefore I get visible edge shading even at a focal length of 24 mm

Since I generally work with gray filters a lot, this is of course a great thing. Adjust variably, without changing. Just what I wanted.

Excellent quality/price ratio, I have it mounted on a Sony 24-105 and for daytime shooting it is essential, super fluid and without vignetting.

I got beautiful pictures recently,, and I like it a lot. I know it is not safe for the lenses to take pictures from eclipse using this filter, however, I could take some good quality pictures. For an eclipse, you need more than 9 steps; maybe 18 or so works better.
