Age and infirmities have ended my ability to traipse around with Nikons slung around my neck and a heavy field tripod in hand. That just isn’t going to happen anymore. Now I shoot mirrorless, action cameras and smartphone. Some of those have internal stabilization that obviates the need for a tripod and I also have gimbals. Still, there are occasions where a tripod is very useful. This is practically ideal for my individual circumstances. It is light: barely over 2 pounds. What a miracle! It is only 14 inches long when collapsed. It will fit in my luggage or pack. Comes with a nicely done carrying case as well. Tripod extends to 61 inches, though I wouldn’t go too far away from it when fully extended. Even with a light camera, there’s a chance a breeze could take it over. The central column is unique in that it has two sections. The column can be reversed for ground level shooting. The legs snap to two angles. I would have preferred three for greater flexibility, but it’s not a deal breaker. There’s a small Swiss Acra style mounting plate. The head also has a circular ball level. The ball head is usable, but not out-of-this-world terrific. The legs are twist-lock. I would prefer snaps, but that would probably have made the tripod less svelte and packable. For a guy like me, old and infirm, who shoots with small, lightweight cameras, the K&F Concept 61 is just plain terrific, well within my limitations when it comes to setup, deployment and handling. It’s so light and small that I don’t have to think twice about taking it. Just throw it in the pack. It’s there when I need it. Gotta love that carbon fibre!Jerry

I’ve been using an ancient heavy Tilt All for as long as I can remember and now I’m older and can’t carry so much weight but I still enjoy photography. I almost bought a carbon fiber pod years ago when they came out but they cost a fortune back then. This is an amazing value and great quality. This is fantastic tripod! It’s super small folded up yet very tall and full size extended and extremely lightweight. It’s so easy to carry and a snap to set up. It’s quite stable and very adjustable. It fits in my backpack and it doesn’t weigh me down at all. I wish I had this 40 years ago! This is excellent for travel, and great for hiking. I love this tripod and highly recommend it!

I am a Very satisfied customer. I am learning to make quick set up adjustments. I have a 200-500 Nikon lens. The tripod supports it. The attachment mechanism is good but it takes more time to pop in than my old tripod. Good value for money.

For quick, down and dirty traveling, this is a good tripod. From the outset though, I would not recommend this tripod with a heavy DSLR and heavy lens like the Canon 70-200L.If your primary use is a regular DSLR or Mirrorless camera, then you'll probably really like this tripod. At full extension, it is not super-stable, but can be mitigated with hanging weight from the hook. Extension is easy and will extend to about 6ft. The ball-head will accomodate Arca Swiss base plates, but with a camera attached, the ball head tightener needs to be adjusted strongly to hold in place. One feature that is a "LIKE" is the ability to reverse mount a camera UNDER in order to take ground-level shots. The tripod comes with a zippered travel case and will easily fit in luggage or attached to a backpack. All in all, I rate this with FOUR STARS due to stability at full extension, and honestly, I think it's a bit overpriced for the performance it provides. For general, non-professional use with a normal DSLR and lightweight lens, Phone, Mirrorless or similar camera, it should do the trick. Otherwise, I'd be looking for a more robust solution.*If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

I was surprised at how compact this tripod is - a very nice size for a travel tripod. It is suitable for light and mid-weight cameras (up to 11 pounds). Setting it up is trivial - with twist leg locks that work smoothly. There is a latch on each of the legs with two positions for leg angle - which is plenty for me. The feet are rubber - there is no provision to use spikes instead. The tripod has plenty of height to be useful - 61 inches. There is a hook on the bottom of the center column to put a weight - such as the tripod bag or a camera bag. This is recommended since the tripod is so light weight. There are gradient markings around the perimeter for alignment, plus a compass and a bubble level. The mounting plate is metal, but the assembly it slides into is plastic, admittedly very sturdy plastic that I think will hold up well. The plate is held in place with a screw latch, and the camera mounting bolt has a d-ring to allow for hand tightening. The padded case that comes with the tripod is very nice, with an adjustable shoulder strap. The fit and finish of the tripod is exemplary. It is a quality piece of photographic gear that is now my default travel tripod.

I don’t like to take my big gear when I travel, and I get nice photo performance out of my GX7, And with this tripod I can travel super light now. Hiking those 14ers with less than 3lbs of photo gear is going to be AMAZING! I could probably take my Sony Alpha 6300 instead with a zoom lens if I needed some reach.I wouldnt recommend big dslrs for this tripod. Stick to mirrorless or point and shoot.

I've used compact tripods, crazy lightweight ones, and well made ones. This is all three! The box is remarkably small and lightweight, and needless to say both only get better out of the box. Both make this ideal for travel, and it's no lightweight in regards to capability. It has no issues with a D750, battery grip, and 70-200mm lens. This setup is rock solid with no issues whatsoever. I haven't tried it yet, but it likely could handle the stated 17lbs (and not just barely). All of the legs sturdily adjust and hold on to their positions with no slip or slop. Rounding out aln almost perfect product is the Arca Swiss compatible plate setup.Pros:compactlightweightsturdyArca Swiss compatibleCons:almost too lightcarbon fiber isn't best for extreme coldHighly recommended
