67mm Black Mist 1/4 Special Effects Filter Cinebloom Black Diffusion Effect - Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.1481
Magnetic filters are just plain awesome, especially when they include a magnetic lens cap. K&F concept's 1/4 black soft diffusion filter provides a hefty dose of the 'CineBloom' effect in a magnetic, quick-swap system that includes a lens cap.
Installation is simple and begins with installing the threaded magnetic ring adapter. Once the magnetic adapter is installed, the filter is attached via magnetic attraction, as is the lens cap afterwards.
The filter looks great, with zero distortion or color shift. These are pretty slim so I didn't experience any issues with vignetting.
The reason I took off a star is that the lens cap is fairly difficult to remove. The magnetic forces are ridiculously strong, too much so. Removing the lens cap is difficult, an I usually end up having to use so much force that I end up running a finger across the lens once the lens cap finally budges.
Other than that, its another quality filter kit from K&F concepts. Buy with confidence.

This makes a very nice clean bloom effect that makes any image look a little warmer and cozier. I included 2 shots with the filter, and one without to compare. There is a slight green flare to the left of the flamingo caused by this filter. It's fairly subtle, but you'll notice it if you're looking for it. It's more noticeable on video with movement, as it also moves around. As I got this primarily for video, that makes it less usable for me.
It screws on cleanly, and I really like the included magnetic dust cover. It's very easy to cap up and remove, and it looks good on the end of a lens.
Overall a great effect filter.

It is a filter designed for videos and to give a "vintage" touch to the final result. In short: wonderful result also for photography. This is a useful filter for reportage or portrait or landscape narration. You don't lose sharpness and you get much less "pulled" light that also expands in the shadowed area. It is a filter to be used in photography with large apertures and which "tells" an atmosphere. Technical review: It has no dominant details, so it leaves the colors similar to the photo taken without filter. Great ! It doesn't make light, you don't need to increase the Iso when you mount it. Great ! The sharpness in the details (and here is the beauty) remains almost unchanged. You don't lose sharpness in focus areas although I wouldn't use it in ultrafine landscape photography but for a storybook, outdoors or portrait together absolutely you. Autofocus is not affected by the filter, at least not on the Nikon D750 with fixed lenses. Use/Effect: This is a filter that gives a glowing effect to photos, especially special for videos and hard-light or backlit portraits. The reflections are lowered but without becoming dull, moreover the light "penetrates" into the shadows, giving a very soft "glow" effect. Ideal for portraiture or to give a more dreamy atmosphere, eliminates image clarity in high contrast areas. In the photos you can see some comparisons without filter / with filter, two portrait photos together and what comes to you. Bottom Line: This is a filter you don't think you could fit into your kit, but when it comes in, it has such a distinctive result that you try it in any situation. Absolutely to try!

I had my doubts before buying this 82mm black haze filter, because I really do mostly landscape and thought they were only used in portrait or "Street". I wasn't quite sure what I could pull out and got a pleasant surprise. A filter that creates a particular atmosphere, adding a kind of haze around points of light. In the photos you can see the effect it generates, for me it looks very interesting and I think that in many situations you can give a special touch to the photos. The filter is threaded type, comes in its plastic box, which also serves different sizes of filters, from 49mm to 82mm. Right now I just came up with some ideas for looking for applications in the landscape, I find this is a very interesting option with which I enjoy a lot. I leave you some photos and videos so you can understand what effect is achieved by using this filter.

I normally use 1/8 strength diffusion filters which just lowers the contrast a bit and adds some bloom to the highlights. I was shooting a project where I wanted a bit more of a dreamy look to it so I wanted to try this as it should be just a bit strong than a 1/8th strength but not make my footage look too dreamy looking. It did indeed do just that. I noticed so real color cast with this filter. I got stronger bloom in the highlights and just gave my footage a softer more film like look.
Just be sure you want a stronger effect that a 1/4 filter can give you. If it's too strong K&F does make a 1/8 strength black diffusion filter that is excellent.
The magnetic system works very well. I wish all filters used this type of easy to use quick release system.

As someone who is heavy into video production I am extremely familiar with diffusion filters. I have used them on various projects for quite a while now. What makes this filter from K&F Concept so special besides the awesome look is the magnetic filter system. Having recently purchased a few more different magnetic filters this concept has quickly grown on me and I have almost switched all the way over.
The Diffusion filter does exactly what it should do, no more or less. The filter gives tons more character to your digital images from your DSLR. The magic of the filter is that it causes the highlights (especially light sources) to quite literally glow. The effect adds a dreamy look of halation to the highlights, a common look of feature film styles. I have included a screengrab of a music video I shot using the filter.
In the box you get the diffusion filter, an adapter ring and the lens cap. All of these items are magnetic and snap right into each other. You simply screw the adapter ring into your lens thread and then you just snap the diffusion filter on within seconds you have the dreamy look you have been waiting for.

Favoring shooting to post-processing, I tried this filter with the only lighting of an electric garland and the rendering was good, the light from the garland is diffuse and softer. Can't wait to use it for night video when the restrictions are lifted.

You can see from the images, it makes your image more cinematic, it adds a bit of softness to your images. This filter paired with my Sony A7S III and my F4 24-105mm gives me a whole new perspective! So happy with this purchase!

I'll start by saying that this filter will stay on my Canon 24-70 forever and that I'm pleased and amazed at the effect it gives my photos. The filter comes in a hard case that already distinguishes it from low-end filters: it is convenient to use and has a non-slip part with different notches for more filter sizes. The construction is superb and you can immediately see from the layer applied to the surface which is a professional tool. If you shoot a bit like me to get an effect similar to the diffusion/glow, you've already tried things like petroleum jelly on the lens, pulled stockings on a filter, or different films. Here this filter is far from it. It has a sneaky effect and does NOT degrade the image. The edges remain sharp while the colors in the photo seem to fade slightly, returning the quality you had when using the film: really enjoyable! I bought it for photography in broad daylight, but certainly one of the best uses is with night lights, where you can better appreciate that spread of colors and brightness. Despite being a misused term, this filter gives an organic digital photo paste. I would like to note that it does not have a shameless and vulgar widespread effect, but it is visible without looking in the eyes. Highly recommended for videos too!
