Admittedly, the magnetic filter system is not entirely new and I can't say who copied it from whom, but I am already familiar with K&F through very good lens adapters and solid tripods. And since I have been flirting with magnetic round filters for a long time, but the prices for such a system seemed too steep, I was of course interested to see that K&F now also offers something like this. Whether the magnetic K&F round filters convinced me or the cheaper one Price here requires too many sacrifices, you can read that in my review...So far I have used screw-in filters from Rodenstock, B+W, Heliopan and Haida. So they're all brands where a filter costs what K&F wants for a complete set including a bag. I was therefore very skeptical about what to expect, also because K&F advertises Schott glass (hardened and therefore very robust) and 16-fold nano sealing. That sounds surprisingly good at first, but in practice it doesn't mean anything because in the end it's always about the optical performance, no matter how great the handling advantages are. Which is actually better, round filters or a 100mm filter system with plate filters, this question This is certainly a question that everyone who gets into the subject of filter photography will ask themselves. Until now, round filters always had to be screwed into the front thread of the lens, which can be very complicated depending on the situation and the lens. Even when combining several filters, each one had to be screwed onto the previous one individually, which in turn quickly leads to vignetting, at least whenever the filters have the same diameter as the lens. Therefore, a 100mm or even 150mm plate filter system has always been the first choice for professionals. Now the topic of round filters has been completely revolutionized by the introduction of magnetic filters. Changing filters has become so easy that the handling advantage of the plate filters no longer exists for me. On the contrary, with plate filters I always have to be extremely careful not to accidentally grab them (fingerprints) and unfortunately that happens very quickly when you take them out of your bag or put them in the holder. This is different here with a round filter with its metal frame. Of course, it can happen that you accidentally touch the glass, but the risk is significantly smaller and round filters are much more robust. Anyone who has ever dropped a plate filter will know what I mean

The filters are great and can be changed quickly. Unfortunately, you cannot screw a graduated filter, even from K&F square and made of glass, onto the ring. The thread becomes larger. This means that you cannot connect the graduated filter with a polarizing filter. That is too bad

In addition to the square filters, I also bought the inexpensive magnetic filter holder set. All I can say is: great. However, I don't have the option of purchasing ND 8 and ND 64 (magnetic) because only ND 1000 and polarizing filters are available. A second glass-filled filter holder is included, which can be stored permanently with an adapter ring for a second lens size and still! fits into the super handy case. For now, this inexpensive set with a magnetic holder is enough for me; If I have further requirements, I will probably switch to the "large" filter holder system from another manufacturer (approx. 400 euros with three ND filters). Which photographer doesn't know this "want to have?" In short: Riko Best's post on YT convinced me. Would I recommend it? Yes, anyone who wants to work with a gray filter every now and then. LG

I shoot in various elements and destinations where lighting is different and filters are needed for optimal results. I have been using the traditional screw on filters but I find it time consuming especially how it needs to be aligned perfectly on your lens, taking up to a few minutes for each one when I could miss the opportunity of my shot. I find this K&F filter set to be a great choice for me. I am no professional by any means and take photos for fun with my Nikon d850 and these filters have worked great for me. The magnetic adapter ring is easy to screw on the lens and the lenses stick to it well. These lenses work great in the rain and are not only waterproof but the water beads off of them. I have not had any issue of fogging between the lens and filter. The come packaged nice in a hard case, each in its own slot. I find this to be a great value for all of the different lenses offered in this set and I am extremely happy with them.

Taking long exposures with the ND and the polarizer saturates the colors overboard

Generally speaking, I've become a fan of K&F's filters. They are, and this kit is no exception, competitively priced quality filters. But this "kit" is a bit disappointing and, in hindsight, I guess I would have preferred to just buy the 3 individual filters. On the plus side is the obvious: being able to swap among the three included filters is quick and easy. Attaching the filter adapter is simple, and selecting the filter (or choosing no filter) really does take just a second or two.But here are some negatives to think about before you choose this kit over individual filter purchase:- The UV filter does not attach as strongly as the other filters. It sloshes around a bit within the adapter ring, and I'm actually a bit worried that a slight bump could cause it to pop out. By contrast, the ND and CPL filters attach much more firmly. (In case it matters, I'm using the 77mm size.)- The filters are "stackable", allowing for some creative possibiliities, but not entirely so. For example, the CPL filter can be seated firmly inside the UV filter, but not the other way around. So, your one or two seconds of switching/stacking filters may be a little clumsier than needed. It would have been nice if this kit had uniformly designed filter rings, so that all of them worked the same way.- It would have made so much sense if the adapter ring were also threaded so that I could screw on other non-kit filters. That seems like a missed opportnity on K&F's part. In other words, if I want to take one of my traditional 77mm filters, it would be nice if it could simply screw it onto the adapter ring. But instead, I have to unscrew the adapter ring to make way for my old filters. Perhaps this is K&F's way of nudging me to consider buying more of their magnetic filters to add to my kit.So, in short: the individual filters, as far as filters go, are great. But this kit has plenty of room for improvement.

This is a solution for one of my pet peeves, taking filters off and on in the field. I always carry a CPL filter with me when doing a shoot, but it is difficult to take them off and on in the back of a Range Rover on the move. This one is protecting my Olympus 300mm f4.0 lens (UV) and allows me to quickly switch to the CPL when I need it. I ordered another set for my 72mm lenses. Great packaging, good carrying case and I'll be able to cover all my field lenses with the two sets. Extremely impressed with the ease of rotating the CPL filter. My lens cap stays on with no problem and can be either on the CPL or the bare magnetic mount. The magnet is very strong, the filters stay where you want them until you want them off.

I have to say that I never used filters before - this is my first try.I like ND filter. I do not see discolouration or sharpnes loss in images.I am a little disapointed with polarizing filter - it removes very little reflections and I wonder if it depends on filter quality how many reflections CPL filter is able to cancel out?I do not see a difference between with or without UV filter - I won't be using it.I wish they had a set for 92mm lenses.

Quality is okay for the price. What is missing, however, is a magnetic lens cap from Canon that no longer fits. But I found a solution. Lens cap snap-on protective cover.

I had been wanting to try a magnetic filter system for a while so I'm glad I got my hands on these. All the magnets work well and it's easy to screw on the adapter onto your lens. I personally only really use the ND filter, but the other 2 filters could stack on no problem and without any degrading in image quality or color.I was able to look closely at high resolution RAW files of photos I took using the ND filter and they looked extremely clean. The little carrying case is a nice touch as well. One suggestion is maybe adding a 6 stop ND filter to the set. There were a couple times where the 10 stop was just a little too much light blocking for me.I would definitely recommend this to most photographers as a great and easy all around filter system
