I own Tiffen's Black Promist 1/8 and 1, so I know of their quality. Thought I'd try this new filter from K&F and I'm pleasantly surprised! Very good quality and definitely an alternative to the Pro Mist for people to consider. It takes wonderful pictures.

bought this 72MM filter to support the Sigma 18-35 and it is now essential for my video productions. There is an analog effect that softens the images, the flapping around the lights is perfect and doesn't spoil the production quality. It is double-threaded to layer multiple filters and comes with a hard carrying case for safe transport within a non-slip triangle (can be used with different filter sizes). At the current price is a must.

The Diffusion Filter "Mist" does what it advertises. It's a softer image with "blooming" lights, especially when backlit. I double stack my filter with a Prime Lens Effect Dream Filter for an extra dreamy look. I can only recommend it.

This filter is a very good Black Pro Mist for the price! I love it and use it all the time! It works great!

Although I'm a great fog filter, I can sometimes see the black dots in my photos even though the lens, glass and sensor are cleaned so I know it's the filter itself. It often messes up my camera's autofocus when trying to focus on the dots on the filter. When everything works right it's a great filter and makes for some cool looking diffused photos.

I bought this filter to test against the Tiffen brand Pro Mist and it didn't disappoint. There's a video on YouTube comparing these two filters side by side, and the K&F is definitely a competitor. The price is fair which I liked, it also came in a nice container. In my opinion you are not paying too much for the Tiffen.

Once you learn how to use it well, the results obtained are fantastic. After a long editing process, the photos completely change.

I have the Tiffen Promist 1/2 filter and found it too intense for what I needed so I tried the K&F 1/4. It was supposed to be less intense and softer than the Promist 1/2 but I was wrong!!! The effect is stronger. The good thing is that K&F has no flare, which is exactly what happens with Promist. I ended up having to return it because the effect was stronger than I wanted, but keep in mind that the effect is more pronounced compared to Promist. In the end I think it's a matter of trying until you find the right one for your type of work!
