Got this to reduce overexposure with wide angle Canon 17-40 4L lens. Very happy with the results so far and it's really great for long exposures. I've been a K&F lens filter for a number of years and these have been my primary ND filters.

Good quality filters. It gives me the ability to have a slower shutter speed and create stunning images.

Some of my most talked about filters have been captured with ND filters. The movement of flame and water over long exposure times, shot on a tripod can be really eye catching and it's not something you can get without an ND filter.

I'm using this on a Fujifilm telephoto mainly for video. Image quality is very good with no aberrations, relatively easy to screw/unscrew, hard protective case. Recommended for those looking for a good quality fixed ND filter.

I ordered this lens filter for my husband. He has a Cannon DSLR camera and this filter fits his camera perfectly. He was able to take better quality photos during the day with this filter. It's a very thin filter, but it's not brittle. It is well made and works as expected. I would recommend this lens filter to beginners and professionals.

The K&F Concept ND 8 Filter is a useful item to have in your kit, especially if you're looking for a well-built filter at a reasonable price. The filter has an attenuation factor of 0.9 or three stops, which allows you to use slower shutter speeds during the day or in bright conditions. The filter has 18 layers of coating. The aluminum frame is light and very thin, and I had no problems screwing it onto a lens. The manufacturer also lists the filter as waterproof and scratch resistant. I used the 58mm filter on a 50mm lens and, as expected, saw no vignetting. The filter also comes in a unique case with a grooved rubber insert, allowing K&F to use one case to store different size filters. L' Rubber insert does a good job holding the filter in place when it's in the case. K&F Concept seems to bring good quality, affordable products to the market. Highly recommended!

First I have to say that I am a reviewer and I received this K&F Concept 58mm ND8 (3 Stop) Lens Filter, Fixed Neutral Density Filter with HD 18 Layer Multi-Coated, Nano-X Series Ultra Slim Optical Glass Frame for Photo Lens free as part of the program. the program was designed to generate reviews of new products heard on amazon. ND filters are for taking long exposures and not for overexposing shots or changing colors. The filter reduces the intensity of all wavelengths of light equally, without changing the hue of the color rendering. The filter serves to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. This allows you to select opening combinations, exposure time and sensor sensitivity which would otherwise produce overexposed images. There are wary ND filters to control the amount of light entering the camera, this is three stops. This K&F Concept ND8 filter is well made and works well. I've only been there once so far, but it was very good. These are must haves for any amateur or professional phoargopher. I can highly recommend.
Great ND filter. Great ND filter. Great ND filter.

The K&F Concept ND 8 filter is a handy item to have in your kit, especially if you are looking for a well-built filter at a reasonable price.

The filter has a dimming factor of 0.9, or three stops, allowing you to use slower shutter speeds during the day or in bright conditions. The filter has 18 layers of coating.

The aluminum frame is light and very thin, and I had no problem screwing it on to a lens. The manufacturer also lists the filter as being both waterproof and scratch resistant.

I used the 58mm filter on a 50mm lens, and, as expected, I did not see any vignetting.

The filter also comes in a unique case with a grooved rubber insert, which allows K&F to use one case for storing different sized filters. The rubber insert does a good job holding the filter in place when it’s in the case.

K&F Concept seems to be bringing good quality products to the market, at affordable prices. Highly recommended!

I have a Canon 85mm f/1.4 that you can't always shoot full open on sunny days without overexposing the image. Having an ND8 filter to knock down the incoming light 3 stops is pretty much perfect to allow you to open up to your widest aperture and shoot.

On my picture above, you can see that the glass for this is pretty good. Ignore the focus (as the left photo was shot as f/1.4, the right at f/4), on my other pictures I cannot tell a difference in image clarity, even when pixel peeping. The two images were shot at 3-stops difference using my aperture and you can see the overall brightness is about the same (keep in mind the f/1.4 vignettes a bit due to my lens)-- so this is a true, ND8 filter. There is some minor color cast, but it's very minimal and Photoshop is happy to auto adjust that out anyways when you start editing your images.

This filter comes in a nice case and the filter is low profile (good new for wide angle lenses) with threads on the front of it if you need to stack another filter.

If this review ended here, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately the threads for attaching this filter to your lens are warped or poorly cut. I spent a good 2 minutes each time fiddling with it (spinning it backwards until it seemed like it dropped in, then tightening it, etc.) and it kept trying to cross thread. Once I thought I did have it lined up, it was rather stiff to turn and I don't know that I even got a full rotation out of it. I thought maybe I was just terrible at threading on filters, so I grabbed my B+W filter (brass threads)-- 5 seconds, straight on, tightened all the way, no problem. So I grabbed my Hoya filter (aluminum threads)-- 5 seconds, straight on, threaded all the way, no problem. The problem was not me or my lens, it's this filter.

Maybe 2 stars is a bit harsh, but when you're attaching this to the front of a $2K lens, the last thing you want to worry about it cross threading this , damaging your lens, or worrying about it coming off because it doesn't have full thread engagement. The glass on this filter is top notch, however I wish they would have taken the same care and produced threads with similar quality.

As a photographer, I try really hard to make sure I’m only using gear that is reliable. K&F has done a great job of being a reliable company for budget-friendly camera gear. I have some of their other pieces of equipment and I continue to be impressed by both their dedication to superior build quality and attention to detail in their products. I found that the filter screwed right onto my lens without any issues and I was also able to remove it without any problems. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture a long-exposure because I don't live near any waterfalls and at the time when I got this filter, the weather really wasn't cooperating with me much. I did, however, hold the filter up to the lens without screwing it onto the lens so that I could see the difference between the image with the filter and without. With this type of test, you can clearly see a correctly exposed image and one that is darkened quite a bit with showing only the ‘hot’ spots of light in the photo. I did take a few shots with the filter installed and I noticed that there was no edge vignetting issues and because the glass is high-quality, I didn’t notice any ghosting either. All in all, this is a really nice option for a budget-friendly ND lens filter.
