Got this to reduce overexposure with wide angle Canon 17-40 4L lens. Very happy with the results so far and it's really great for long exposures. I've been a K&F lens filter for a number of years and these have been my primary ND filters.

Good quality filters. It gives me the ability to have a slower shutter speed and create stunning images.

Some of my most talked about filters have been captured with ND filters. The movement of flame and water over long exposure times, shot on a tripod can be really eye catching and it's not something you can get without an ND filter.

I'm using this on a Fujifilm telephoto mainly for video. Image quality is very good with no aberrations, relatively easy to screw/unscrew, hard protective case. Recommended for those looking for a good quality fixed ND filter.

I ordered this lens filter for my husband. He has a Cannon DSLR camera and this filter fits his camera perfectly. He was able to take better quality photos during the day with this filter. It's a very thin filter, but it's not brittle. It is well made and works as expected. I would recommend this lens filter to beginners and professionals.

The K&F Concept ND 8 Filter is a useful item to have in your kit, especially if you're looking for a well-built filter at a reasonable price. The filter has an attenuation factor of 0.9 or three stops, which allows you to use slower shutter speeds during the day or in bright conditions. The filter has 18 layers of coating. The aluminum frame is light and very thin, and I had no problems screwing it onto a lens. The manufacturer also lists the filter as waterproof and scratch resistant. I used the 58mm filter on a 50mm lens and, as expected, saw no vignetting. The filter also comes in a unique case with a grooved rubber insert, allowing K&F to use one case to store different size filters. L' Rubber insert does a good job holding the filter in place when it's in the case. K&F Concept seems to bring good quality, affordable products to the market. Highly recommended!

First I have to say that I am a reviewer and I received this K&F Concept 58mm ND8 (3 Stop) Lens Filter, Fixed Neutral Density Filter with HD 18 Layer Multi-Coated, Nano-X Series Ultra Slim Optical Glass Frame for Photo Lens free as part of the program. the program was designed to generate reviews of new products heard on amazon. ND filters are for taking long exposures and not for overexposing shots or changing colors. The filter reduces the intensity of all wavelengths of light equally, without changing the hue of the color rendering. The filter serves to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. This allows you to select opening combinations, exposure time and sensor sensitivity which would otherwise produce overexposed images. There are wary ND filters to control the amount of light entering the camera, this is three stops. This K&F Concept ND8 filter is well made and works well. I've only been there once so far, but it was very good. These are must haves for any amateur or professional phoargopher. I can highly recommend.

The K&F Concept filter arrived in a round protective case that seems to be universal as it'll fit many sizes of filters.
The filter itself is visually high quality and has knurled grips placed on opposite sides of the filter to provide good grip. The filter is very lightweight due to the aluminum frame construction and thin glass. The filter is very low profile to minimize vignetting but still has threads for stacking other filters.
The aluminum frame is also this filter's greatest weakness. Unlike my other ND filters with brass frames which attach and detach easily, the lens threading on the K&F seems to be so far out of spec that it grinds and binds terribly when trying to attach it to a lens. I was able to partially thread this onto the lens so I could test it out but never did fully attach it as I was afraid I'd damage the lens.
In terms of optical performance it reduces the light by the specified three stops (a 1/8 reduction). The MRC coating on the filter cleans easily and I didn't see any significant evidence of glare so the coating is doing its job in that regard. Many of these types of filters impart a color cast depending on the materials and coatings used - for example B&W's Schott glass is well known for imparting a yellowish cast. The K&F filter is very neutral in that regard - while it does impart a bluish-green tone to the image it's so slight that it's nearly unnoticeable. The most neutral filter I own is a Breakthrough Photography X4 ND filter, and this one is very nearly as good at 1/6 the price tag.
I really wanted to like this filter. It has decent optical performance, and it's low profile enough that it's useful as a stacking filter. Unfortunately, the threads on my sample make the filter practically useless which isn't good at any price.
I would rate this filter 5 stars for the optics and 4 stars overall if the filter threads were OK. Other than the threads I think this filter performs well enough optically that if you get a good sample it's a fantastic bargain.
