It's my first square filter set - so far I've only ever worked with screwable round filters. The first thing I noticed was the very classy and practical packaging - the loop for removing the filters from the storage case is ingenious.

The images I’ve put up have been edited to look dramatic and moody because it’s the only way I can think to use these filters with their color shifting and total loss of out of camera contrast.

These filters will allow you to take shots during the day that you can’t pull off without them but it will look amateur in comparison to any higher quality set. Also, the ND filters don’t stop down images nearly as effectively as they advertise so it would have to be a pretty cloudy day to see any notable long exposure results.

- The filter holder keeps the filter tight so it doesn't move around, and it lets you stack multiple filters (haven't tried that yet)

Good work guys. This kit makes so much sense... the idea of double spending money buying the same filters for each size lens is not exciting to me.

The camera practically sees at night, a long exposure without this filter was incredibly difficult. I often had a very split image with the moon/sun very bright at the top and everything below the sky in total darkness.

bought the filter holder system together with a soft GND filter. In contrast to many, I still see a clear advantage in using such a gradient filter. The adapter rings cover all possible lens diameters, are made of metal and fit perfectly. Because of the tight mechanics on the right, I always equip the actual filter holder with plug-in shafts for a maximum of 2 filters before locking it on the adapter ring, which is less fiddly. The holder can be easily rotated so that it can be slanted, but it holds well and does not slip further by itself. The filter itself is also very secure and has to be pushed with force, but this secures it against falling. I like it. The filter is optically of good quality and shines with fairly good color fidelity. Reflections have not been a problem so far, although, and this is the only shortcoming for me, there is a gap between the filter and holder, which could at least theoretically lead to reflections. In the meantime I have closed these gaps on the holder above and below by gluing felt strips there. Now it's completely closed. The cover for the filter is absolutely great! I also bought a very nice ND1000 filter as a supplement. The combination with my circular polarization filter is also no problem thanks to the screw thread on the filter. Conclusion: Sure, there are more elegant, probably optically even cleaner solutions. Sure, there are smoother holders, etc., etc. BUT: the price difference is so exorbitant and gets bigger with each additional filter; I can no longer understand that. I've been using the system for a year now: it hasn't had any unexpected signs of wear and tear, the filter glass is super easy to clean and everything snaps and fits. I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality at this price. Why a star deduction: on the one hand, because I consider the light gap to be a gross design flaw, which, however, is very easy to eliminate. on the other hand, because there are of course better holder systems (and also filters), just for a lot more money! At the price maximum purchase recommendation! For the holder system and the filters.
