Light, yet stable, good equipment
For a long time I debated whether I needed a tripod at all, and if so, in which price segment I should get it. Ultimately, I didn't want to invest too much money because I will only rarely use the tripod, but I also wanted to get a certain quality and mobility. The K&F Concept Carbon tripod from the X - Series described here seemed to meet this requirement... The tripod is delivered in a beautiful, compact and stable Cordura carrying case. After unpacking, I was initially very surprised at how light the tripod felt and a little worried about the stability. The concern is unfounded! The tripod is very well made, all components are very clean and fit perfectly each other. The legs of the tripod, which can be folded neatly around the center column for transport, are unlocked with a small turn of the rings on the legs and can be easily extended. Another quick twist and they're locked in place. The center column is solidly crafted, adding to the overall stability rather than detracting from it. The fits on the tripod are also very dimensionally accurate, and the components sit neatly together without gaps or wobbling. The quite compact head from the 30 series is also sufficiently stable and can be easily adjusted, but also locked securely when the camera is aligned My heaviest setup weighs about 4kg and is carried securely by both the head and the tripod itself lighter camera. A nice added feature is that you can unscrew one of the legs and then even have a monopod that you can almost carry in your jacket pocket, weight wise anyway. Overall I'm very happy with the tripod and head , I still have a solid margin in terms of load capacity, so that even new purchases with heavier weight will not be a problem. The low weight of the tripod is a guarantee that you can pack it up and take it with you, which was an important argument for me. The long-term suitability has yet to be proven, but I currently have no concerns that the tripod will do its job.
