Great construction, lots of space
was a little worried that this bag wouldn't hold everything I need for a photo shoot, but I'm pleasantly surprised I was wrong. It's a well-made bag with plenty of padding where you need it, plenty of openings for access to your gear, and strong enough to hold its shape without gear in the pack. A great feature that this bag has taken on is the adjustable inserts. Depending on the shoot, I can adapt these to my needs. This is great when I attend sporting events such as the local high school football games. I'll go into more detail on that later. Let me briefly touch on the openings again. One feature I love about this bag, and I'm glad more bags are using this, is that the main zipper is on the inside (on the shoulder straps) rather than the outside of the bag (facing the world). . For me this is ideal for securing my gear while carrying the bag. I don't have to worry about someone coming up behind me and trying to get into the bag. That actually leads me to my first downside, which is the side opening. This is a way for someone to snag gear, and if you're uncomfortable with this, you need to consider that. Let's talk size. There's LOTS of room in this thing. Remember when I talked about the soccer games earlier in the review? Based on the layout of the compartments, this bag will comfortably fit a Sigma 60-600mm lens. For those who don't know, this lens is pretty massive. You can fit it in this thing and still have room for your camera body and a few more lenses. One feature I'm starting to really like is the adjustable size of the top pocket. The bottom slides out if you need space or, depending on the configuration of the bag, can be used as a wall extension to effectively double the size of the bag. It's a great option for further customization. If there were any improvements I would recommend for the bag, it would be a way to mount a tripod in it. I've really enjoyed this option on other bags and am disappointed that this option doesn't exist. Overall, this is an outstanding release from K&F. The positives far outweigh the negatives and I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a bag like this.
