Yes, you pay for it, but I've seen much more expensive filters that didn't look or work as well.

After testing this, I saw absolutely no optical distortion. It's a beautiful polarizing filter that's as precision engineered as you can get. The threads screw into the lens very easily and the ring turns buttery smooth. This way you can get any kind of grady action you want in terms of polarization. This mechanism, the simple one, is incredibly precise.

The glass is absolutely perfectly flat as far as I can measure. And even with the laser test I could not detect any distortion.

This is said to have a kind of nano-coating that makes it scratch-resistant and also makes water roll off much more easily. I really hope not to test this.

Every filter from this company has been consistently top notch. Absolutely professional quality is no different with this one. I have a German made polarizer for $300 and I don't think you can tell the difference. I also have some other expensive ones that aren't nearly as good as this one.

The Germans look and feel identical. And that for half the price. This company makes top notch stuff. I will have no qualms about ever buying a K&F filter.
