I used this 52mm filter on my old classic Canon EF 50mm 2.5 Compact Macro lens to capture the artificial candle image. I used a standard priority flash with an exposure of 1/30 second at f/16, ISO 1600. The filter was packaged in a sealed plastic bag in a reusable plastic sleeve for storage. The filter is machined to have a good thread and fit perfectly on top of a clear filter that I have permanently attached to my lens. The edge of the filter has grooves for easy on and off.
