Does what it should and is just right for the perfect balance between contrast & effect
The K&F filter comes well packaged, even with a storage case. It is well made and also looks very good. In the photo you can see the typical green shimmer, which comes from the invisible black dots on the glass. Even a cleaning cloth was added, which I personally always find very nice, because you can put it directly to the filter. The filter comes in the 58mm version, which fits exactly. It can be easily screwed on and works perfectly.
The Black Soft Filter is often referred to as the Black Mist Filter. The filter from K&F Concept is already quite good. But what does he actually do? The filter is there to take out contrasts and scatter light around the points of light. While in a classic image without this filter we see a candle flame sharp and clear at a short exposure time, in comparison you have a so-called halo around the candle using the filter. As a result, the light has a much nicer mood. However, it also reduces contrasts. You always have to keep that in mind when you take the picture. Basically, contrast can be easily added later in the required places. With the 1/4 filter, however, it also keeps within limits and it is a balanced effect. Of course, you can also create this afterwards, but it is like many other filters. If they are used on the camera from the outset, the effect is usually a bit nicer. But it is certainly also a matter of personal taste.
The filter does exactly what it should. And he does that very well. Unfortunately, I have no comparison to a high-priced filter. Based on my experience, however, I also think that the difference is only visible if you really take pictures yourself and pay attention to details. For the hobby sector, it does not always have to be the high-end equipment. Therefore, there is a full 5 star purchase recommendation from me.
