Excellent affordable UV filter
This is a well built UV filter. I did this to attach a non-weatherproof lens with an internal zoom mechanism. A UV filter on the front provides extra protection from the rain for an upcoming trip. The anodizing on the metal ring appears to be of good quality. This and the knurling on the outer ring offer a very good grip when installing and removing. The threading corresponds to the thread on the lens cavity. The filter glass is crystal clear. I found no noticeable degradation between shots taken with and without the filter attached. For the same shot and lighting, my camera didn't adjust the exposure values between turning the UV filter on or off. This is a good UV filter for those of us
