bought the camera to monitor part of a building/shed. The wireless access via the smartphone to set up the camera and download the photos/videos taken is a real advantage, as I don't always have to climb a ladder to the camera to replace the micro SD card or change the camera's function. The quality of the recordings is absolutely fine during the day and at night. Since the camera came with all the mounting material and even a memory card, I only had to insert 8 AA batteries and was able to get started straight away. The scope of delivery includes an easy-to-understand German-language operating manual, which made setting up the camera and the app much easier for me. I get on well with this wildlife camera and can definitely recommend it.

It's the best security camera I have that is completely wireless, self-sufficient and has a solar panel to charge the battery so I don't have to take it off to charge every 2 months. What a lovely design as the plastic used for this unit is a high quality material and it comes with all the hardware including a paper template for drilling holes to ensure a perfect installation. It also comes with an extra USB cable just in case you need to charge it with a USB charger, but my camera arrived 100% charged showing no battery drain when it's off and the battery does not discharge itself. What I love most is that it has a fully motorized head, so you can use your phone to pan your head in all directions to check what's going on outside. I am very impressed with this feature as all 4 security cameras I have are only fixed in one direction so you can only see in one direction. So I had 2 cameras in the front and one on the back and side of the house. This one camera will cover the front and/or back of my entire house. No waste of expensive electricity either, as it is completely self-sufficient in power thanks to the included solar panel, which doubles as a shield or canopy to protect it from harsh weather. The only thing missing from this pack is a Micro SD/TIFF card and you're good to go. Very easy and uncomplicated installation. The solar 4g camera must be located so that the 2.4 GHz WLAN signal is good. I put a heavy duty micro SD card in the camera for storage. The camera records to this SD card, or if you pay for a subscription, the video is stored in the cloud (in addition to or instead of local storage I suppose). When the camera is activated, it records all the time. The app has many settings to customize how it works, such as setting notifications, notification triggers (sound or motion), and motion detection in a preset region. Recorded footage can be viewed using the app and copied to the cell phone running the app. One can zoom into the video via the app. The quality of the video and sound during the day and night is amazing. Video is time and date stamped. Motion tracking is very good. Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted. Camera view can also be controlled from the app, even with preset views. The live feed of the camera can be viewed - good smooth video too.
Initial pairing of the camera with the app can be a bit frustrating, but follow the instructions correctly and then everything is fine.
I would recommend this camera to anyone.
