Living close to the beach, I have owned many metal detectors. Most metal detectors in this price range are merely toys, without the advanced features of this one.

The assembly was really easy, taking less than 3 minutes. All the pieces are well made and went together without any tools. The build quality is good, with none of the plastic burrs and tags that you often see on similar products. The pole length is easily adjustable so treasure hunters of various heights are still comfortable using it.
The display is large and easily readable, which is great for a guy like me that wears bifocals. No squinting, just good readable text and numbers. And the display has a backlight for those warm summer evenings where you just want to walk along the beach as the sun goes down.
The search coil is waterproof so you can’t damage it if you ware walking along the shore and a wave hits it.
I like the handgrip as it is well balanced and doesn’t tire out your arm during an afternoon of searching.
I personally tested it with various coins and the display is accurate. This is a great feature when scanning a busy beach.

Comes with a nice carrying bag, a nice set of headphones, and a great collapsible shovel with its own nice case. It comes with batteries, so you don’t need anything else to get started on your personal Treasure Hunt.

Good weather station, lovely large display and has a quality feel. Powered by 3xAAA batteries for the main display unit and 2xAAA batteries for the outdoor sensor, none of which are supplied. The main display unit has a USBC socket, it doesn’t say what this is for so i’m assuming this is for easy recharging if rechargeable batteries are used (not tried so cannot say for definite.

The display unit can be wall mounted or has a foldable stand for the tabletop or counter. Very informative and seemingly accurate. A couple of things i didn’t like is that the display is light up and requires the press of a button to see clearer, since i have this mounted on the wall my daughter cannot reach it or see the weather prediction. She also liked that our old weather station had a person icon who displayed different outfits according to the weather, this was really fun for her and disappointed we don’t have that on this one.

£35.99 (at the time of review) is a good price, these are really useful and long lasting. But as it’s more of a nice to have item i would say it would be better value around the £25 mark.

Easy to assemble and comfortable to use for both kids and tall users. Controls are clear and easily set even without reading the manual. Volume, sensitivity, and a surprisingly good discrimation and lockout functionality all easy to dial in properly.

False triggers: I've used OTHER detectors for searching for lost items in my own yards, and they constantly triggered on nothing at all or responded to my fairly iron-rich soil, without being able to find good settings. This SunPow unit had no trouble identifying garbage and staying quiet if set to ignore trash.

Targetted triggering: i tested with MANY sample metal objects of all kinds ranging from gold to titanium to steel to copper and bronze... this detector only jittered slightly from correct identification (eg. copper might lean into bronze, but NEVER so wrong as steel) - EASY to determine whether to bother digging up a "hit."

Unit comes with a useful carry bag and a mini-shovel great for moderate users. Serious users may want a better shovel but having even a moderate one ALREADY with the unit is great.

Overall i'm very pleased with this unit... excellent for kids to moderate effort adults. ALL detectors will require learning how to use them effectively, but this is able to do all I've asked of it.

I have been metal detecting for at least 15 years and have thousands invested in my detectors. This is a great beginning detector for a small child to see if he/she will like the hobby. I buried a penny, dime, nickel and quarter in different areas about 4" deep and this detector found them all. It comes with 2 AA batteries and set-up is a breeze. Give this to a kid, take him/her to a school playground where there are swing sets and if your lucky and the swings are on sand, this little thing will find coins and the kid will be so excited you won't believe how happy he/she will be.

When it comes to metal detectors, I'm at best a beginner but the last one I owned wasn't as good as this one when it came to detecting anything below a few inches in the ground. With this metal detector, I'm able to detect almost a foot's depth in ground. Not to mention, this is fully waterproof and have been able to find things along the shore banks in lakes and small river banks near my home. Surprisingly, this is a lot more accurate than I thought it was going to be. The amount of things that I have found has been big to an antique spoon and few things that were bigger but then as small as what I later found out to be a small piece of gold. What I love about this detector is the accuracy and the fact that it doesn't weigh too much that it feels as though my arm is going to fall off. The sound on this was is clear, especially when it's detecting something and it can get fairly if you don't turn the volume down.

was so hesitant about buying this lens at first, I have a friend who owns the 50mm F1.8 and at first I thought there wouldn't be much of a difference in quality between the two, I guess I was wrong for the following reasons... 1-This one is metal and glass...not like the F1.8 version, in my first week I smashed my lens against a black wall in the dark and guess what.. .I scratched the wall badly (note: I had a Canon UV filter which helped in this situation) but what I'm saying is that others have complained about how flimsy the F1.8 is and yes. .. this f.14 lens is really robust. 2 - The blurriness of the images is a bit better, you can compare the quality and see the difference. (I put about 7 pics online, check them out) 3-USM...very nice, rather than hissing with every single focus in or out, the silence makes a difference. 4-The thing has been mounted on my camera since the day I bought it, it's hard to get rid of it...:D 5-Very good for indoor shots, if you don't want to use a flash this is it correct lens...very good quality of the pictures. 6 portraits are fantastic with this lens, background blur is superb. 7-The only flaw I see is that I don't think it's the sharpest lens on the market...but overall...A+++

I accidentally ordered two. They came charged. Did not require the 24 hour calibration cited in the manual. I put it by a window fan to calibrate for 10 minutes. Sequentially, they both settled at approx 405ppm CO2. I recently purchased another AQI meter from TempTop so I was able to compare pm2.5 to some extent.

I've only had these a couple days but I've closely monitored and corroborated the circumstances. All measurements between both units are effectively identical, no variance unaccounted for. The CO2 measurements proportionally increased based on quantity of occupants in my office, if the door was open/closed, central forced air ventilation (A/C system), and window fan. Most observed ranged have been between 400 and just over 1000, though intentionally breathing on it will exceed this.

The PM2.5 measurements correlate with the TempTop, though PM2.5 and PM10 jiggle up to 003 over the base reading, which is negligible. Because I purchased these to fill the CO2 gap the TempTop does not capture, I don't have much more to contribute in these readings yet.

The temperature and humidity are in line with all my other devices as well.

There was a review regarding them recalibrating on their own. This is an optional feature if you read the book, though I don't know why someone would want that to be recurring regularly.

I said I accidentally purchased two... I think I'll get more. Maybe one for me, but others as gifts. I think it's valuable to know the quality of air being respired, especially in places you spend the most time.

Update:
I purchased a QuingPing monitor based on other reviews I read, largely because it esthetically enumerated the measurements I was most interested in, being Co2, PM, and VoC. This revealed that I absolutely needed to calibrate these units... I assumed when I started them and they hung at 500 for awhile, that was a calibration phase; Anyhow, after calibration they are coming congruent with the QuingPing. Even uncalibrated, bringing this unit to restaurants and my vehicle, etc still demonstrated increased Co2 and PM values, that even if the "floor" was high, was still valuable when taken relatively.

My opinion is that the Co2 alone is an excellent mechanism to measure ventilation in typical scenarios, and that can be used as an effective proxy for air quality generally. This assumes average room area, outdoor air quality, and no extraordinary sources of PM/VoCs like aerosols, flame (candles, gas appliances), or a operating workshop. For the budget minded, or entry level gifter, the Co2 only monitor would be good.

The construction of these are solid, even rugged, and the battery life has been at least adequate for my exploration. I appreciate the USB-C ecosystem. The color added to the screen, though it is static and never changing, makes it passable.

I'm probably going to move to QuingPing primarily, and use these as indicators suggested above (maybe in my car and/or kitchen). The QuingPing, while almost twice the cost, is quite featureful. It includes Wifi connectivity, with onboard and cloud telemetry logging, a nice touch screen and interface, is even more esthetic, and common home automation platform integration, etc. I'll probably settle for two QuingPing units, one in the bedroom and the other in my office. I'm still evaluating the accuracy before committing to a second unit, but it's looking promising.
