I do a lot of travel shooting as well as weddings and protection from bumps and such is key. It's far cheaper to replace a filter than an entire lens! This filter element offers a neutral passage while protecting the front glass and the threads of the expensive lens. Recommended!

It's pretty amazing to me that you can get an 82mm UV filter with 18 layers of coating for only $20. As far as I can tell, there is no loss of contrast or color shift. If anything, you may experience different reflection patterns at certain angles (which I'm a fan of) and will experiment with that. A UV filter not only protects your lens, but also makes the front element waterproof. And if you've had a chance to play around with magnetic filters before, it works just fine with those too. I plan on buying a few more of these so I always have them on my lenses so I can swap/stack my other magnetic filters in seconds. Highly recommend!

When used on a Nikon D3400 18-55mm it gives great results! Since I was curious to see the result before I buy it, I thought some people would like to see a comparison between a picture with the filter and another without the filter...

This worked perfectly - and fitted easily onto the front of my Nikon 18-70mm lens. The lens cap that comes with it even makes it easy to attach. I couldn't tell any difference in image quality when using the filter (other than the effect of the polarizer). Really happy with it.
