I'm using this ball head for a rifle mount, for coyote hunting. The all metal construction makes it sturdy and durable. The thumb locks for swiveling function very smoothly and holds everything in place, when locked. I mounted this ball head on a Bogpod Deathgrip tripod and it holds a 14# rifle with no issues.

Nice and stable for shooting PCP air guns.

The tripod comes in a practical bag. Due to the adjustable center column, different shooting angles, both downwards and with the column laid out, are no problem. This makes the tripod an all-rounder. The plastic locks are a disadvantage. These provide less stability. The logo applied to the tripod plate also has the negative effect that the camera body or nodal point adapter are not flat, which causes major problems with panoramas.

Once you’ve made the decision to move on past your first “$30” basic tripod there are sooooo many different choices / options - it can be hard to decide which one to choose from. This tripod is very light and portable and quick to set up, but most importantly, offers endless options for every imaginable shooting situation as far as angles / camera positions and what the tripod is standing on (even / un-even terrain, stairs, table tops etc) and is super good for low to the ground shots used in macro photography and some cinematic shots. Note: this is not a heavy, sturdy tripod which is what you’d want for study portrait/still/video work - if that’s what your after there are better options - this is a great on-the-go tripod option for your mobile photography needs.

Great stability particularly for shooting horizontally

What impresses immediately in thist K&F Concept 60" Tripod is the quality and the attention to detail, beginning in the sturdy carry bag. The 39 cm tripod can open up to 154 cm. You can use the tripod in countless situations, being very versatile for shooting night shots, taking product shots, macro shots at the ground level, and even using for shooting videos. The tripod is sturdy, tight, but if is very windy it has a stand in the center to add some weight. The head have a plate with easy grip screw, is also very versatile and sturdy, making it easy to level the horizon of the camera without moving its paws, especially usefull in video shooting. Note the excellent rubber paws, non-slip and narrow to achieve stability even on dirt terrain.The set have a different short central axis that is easy to change in case you don't need to use the big one that comes assembled.When i need to put my video camera on tripod, as i use a different plate to use in a gimbal, i put a quick release plate as i show in the picture.Great value for money. An excellent tripod especially for travel but also for everyday use.

What a great bit of kit, the tripod is so versatile and can be set in many different shooting positions safely and securely, I would be interested to see how the K&F Gimbal performs on this tripod, come on K&F send me one out and I will give it a road test and write a full review for you. I needed a new tripod and was surprised to find how much most tripods cost. I really wanted a smaller tripod that I could fit in my luggage, yet support some of my medium weight lenses. The K&F Concept SA254T1 Tripod seemed to fit a lot of my needs and was very reasonably priced. I am currently shooting primarily with the Canon R5 and Canon 1DX mkii and 24 - 70 lenses. I need a tripod for night shooting and extended exposures. The K&F Concept SA254T1 Tripod folds fairly small (22"), so it fits well in my luggage, yet supports my cameras very well with the 24 - 70 and 16 - 35 lenses that I use a lot. But it also supports my 70 - 200 ef and rf lenses when used on the lens collars. A couple of added bonuses - one of the legs can be removed and used as a monopod. Also, I shoot concerts (pre-covid) and at times shoot from the sound board when a pit isn't available. I usually use a small ladder or a step stool so I can shoot over the crowd's heads. The K&F Concept SA254T1 Tripod has a maximum height of 94" which could be used when I am on a ladder. Another added bonus is the center column that can be used at a 90-degree angle to shoot off the center of the tripod. I don't foresee being able to use a large lens on the extended center column, but I think it would work well with a pancake lens, or a smaller lens like the nifty fifty. I won't be using the tripod for my 400mm f2.8, but I knew that going in and have a large, heavy tripod with a gimbal for those purposes. If you are shooting with a mirrorless camera and a small to medium weight lens, this tripod performs very well and is light and compact. AND costs a lot less than comparable tripods.
