Versatile and comfortable, a good item for studio photography.

After purchasing our first kf concept tripod we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials, the solidity and the value for money. So we decided to renew the tripods in our studio. As soon as we bought it we put it to the test with two sets of studios and it proved to be as good as we expected!
In the box we find our tripod , carrying bag , always useful in case of travel where you need to bring a studio tripod , and ... .
The tripod is very compact, when closed it measures only 40cm, which makes it ideal to be transported on photographic trips and long journeys, its lightness makes it easy to carry and to put in a luggage in case of air travel. Fully extended it reaches a height of 154 cm and thanks to its 5 sections it can be adjusted with good precision. The 5 section extenders are screw fasteners, we usually tend to prefer the hook fasteners but these have proved to be very practical, just take them all together with one hand and in one movement they can all be unscrewed, great for those who need to extend the tripod quickly. As in many tripods you have the possibility to unhook one of the legs and make it become a monopod, very quick on this tripod but the fixing system is really good and the grip on the unscrewing pod makes it very comfortable to use.
Let's move on to the ball head, which allows excellent flexibility in shooting, reaching any desired angle and being able to rotate 360°. The base of the head in turn has the possibility of having a fluid 360° rotation, useful both for panoramas and for videos, where the graduated scale at its base becomes very convenient. The release plate is good, even if it is made of plastic. But we come to the real highlight of this tripod, the transverse column, is in fact the main reason why we bought this tripod, the ability to move from the area where the feet of the tripod would be in the view and shoot perpendicularly downwards. Good extension, allows you to work easily with vertical shots on many surfaces, tables, floors, as well as to shoot from elevated ledges without risking the equipment or having to lean out personally, also great when you shoot by reversing the tripod in order to reach perspectives otherwise impossible.

This tripod at a very affordable price point is definitely one of the best if not the best on the market, complete with every feature a tripod should have in 2019 it offers everything at a hyper competitive price, the quality is great and the tripod passed our tests with flying colours, obviously all in relation to the price. Excellent alternative to much more expensive tripods, recommended for amateur and professional photographers but also for those who want a tripod that can be used to make videos on youtube, even for unboxing and overhead shots!

You can probably get less functional sturdier tripods for the money. BUT this is a great compromise between quality and functionality. It is better made than you think although it’s long term life I can’t say as yet. It allows almost a unique height range that I could only achieve otherwise using studio supports or booms. It allows overhead video shots on the fly as well as in the studio. For me it will be primarily for studio use for flexible quick setups when i need a shot in a hurry. But I have used it outside and I have achieved angles with a remote that would have been difficult otherwise. I like it. I’d pay more for a deluxe version with perhaps better locking leg positions and stronger springs and hinges. But it’s good, not a toy or gizmo but a practical tool.

A little heavier than most tripods of similar size due to solid build. I'm using it in the studio exclusively in the studio unless specific situations call for a taller tripod. Overall very pleased with ease of use.

have a studio camera and have never strapped it on. (as it would get in the way of the tripod and cables) I saw this quick release hand strap and had to get it. This means I can go outside with a belt. Setup on my Nikon D3200. (This is fine since my camera with lens only weighs a few pounds and weighs up to 80) I followed the basic camera strap instructions (see my photos). The right side works for me. (I connect the cables on the left side) Could actually leave the strap on the right side permanently. I pushed the small, thin part of the loop into the strap eyelet of my camera. (pointing from bottom to top) Don't get the buckle through the loop. (had to be in exactly the right position) Now the strap is attached to the eyelet of the camera strap. Finally, the two parts of the strap were put together, listening for the click. Now it's locked. The thin strap also consists of three layers. Black outer layer, new and strongest. The orange middle layer is visible, order a replacement. Later red inside. Remove the strap from the camera and replace it immediately. This wrist band is made of different materials. (Leather, Aluminum, Nylon and ABS Plastic) Strong from one end to the other. High quality craftsmanship. Leather is super soft and smooth. The medal buckle is made of a non-magnetic material, most likely aluminum alloy. The quick-release fastener cannot be accidentally released. Two hands are required to release it. Side buttons and the top button are required to trigger. Would love to see another version in different colors. Maybe with the K & F colors. In total. A super strong wrist strap. Made from very good materials. Modern design, the orange stitching stands out well. That's a total of four colors on this band: black, orange, tan and gray. Good comfort when using the hand strap. Dual-use wrist strap. Remove the clip and it can be used on a tripod (studio setup). It hardly bothers you when you unclip it. I defiantly feel comfortable with the strap while it is very secure on my wrist. Giftable, yes, and includes a one-year warranty. Hope this was helpful.

First of all, I'm a fan of K&F products. I try to use them in photo sessions as much as possible because they just give good, consistent results.

However, the ONE complaint I've always had is that K&F's product line was fairly limited to low-to-mid range products. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing for what they are...and I LOVE having them on site. But as with any product I use in the field, these are often NOT the same products that I will be using in a fully controlled environment. In a perfect world, I could take all my studio gear with me on location and not have to worry about possible damage to my gear.

To that end, the mid-range filters and devices from K&F have worked very well.

However, I've always wondered what if my favorite manufacturers actually produced high-end gear, would the results be just as good? Better? What might I be missing if I pick certain types of gear over others?

When I saw a while ago that K&F was producing some sort of "Nano" lineup I was excited... but also a bit apprehensive... I already had my high-end filters that I would use for special occasions and studio work... would K&F actually be able to fulfill this quality? If so, could I stop buying gear from manufacturers I didn't want to use due to their terrible customer service practices?

When I saw this filter appearing in my recommended feed, my curiosity got the better of me and I had to order it.

I went with the 82mm version since my primary workhorse lenses are 82mm lenses. Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art, is usually my 'go to', although I've rented and used a Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III a few times now...and have it at my request List.. both use 82mm filters.

Now that I've used it for a few sessions... both in the studio and on location, I have some initial short-term thoughts:

Exposure change is minimal. - This is a big deal since so many "cheap" polarizers often affect exposure drastically. I've seen some filters change the EV by up to a point. At this point a CPL works more like a lightweight ND filter and isn't really optimal if all you want is glare reduction. This one I would say reduced the EV by about 1/8th of a stop when installed.

Color shift also appears to be minimal, if there is any at all - CPLs are also often plagued with the problem of changing the color of a scene when applied, and in the case of variable polarizers you can even experience color shift while you're doing it Adjust the strength of the filtering applied. This isn't ideal as it just means you'll have to do more color adjustments in post. However, remember how a variable CPL works, if you reduce glare from a source that creates a color cast, you will have some color shift. This is simply the nature of light. Similar to using a gold colored reflector for subject lighting. If you remove the gold paint from the reflector there will be a color change.

Distortion doesn't seem to be there - This is another problem that so many filters (in general) have and can often be so minor that it's not seen until you work with your files (RAW or otherwise) in post. I've seen a large number of filters absolutely ruined photos in the past, so I tend to be VERY nervous. This filter appears to have no distortion at all. I am very happy about it.

Quality & Workmanship - This filter consists of 2 parts. When I say that, I don't mean that you need to attach two physical parts...just that there's the static mount that attaches to the end of the lens, and the adjustable part that levitates and rotates at the end. The static mount is actually a bit small, which means that when you attach it to your lens, with a bit of coziness, you might want to use a filter tool on it.

NOTE: This filter DOES NOT have a threaded forward mount. If you use a lens hood that attaches over the filter threads, it WILL NOT WORK with this filter. Additionally, the lack of a forward thread means you can't stack this filter with others OR you'll want to use it as your last filter in the stack.
