Great filter for portrait and street photography, gives the photos a cinematic look.

I am not sure where all the negative one star reviews came from.The bag holds my 5D Mrk 4 and three lens in the upper compartment... two of the three lens are huge f2.8.The bottom compartment (with included fanny pack removed) would hold my back up camera with three smaller lens. Now it holds ALL of my close up gear, including a cheap 4x5 led video light, a external 4x5 monitor in case, extension rings and a focus rail slider. I did not try the laptop compartment, but all my accessory equipment, filters, batteries and cards fit in their own pockets.Quality seems what you would expect from the price. ... Its not gold plated BUT I believe it will hold together.

That's exactly the lens, so I had to leave to take beautiful pictures. The 50mm is nickel for portrait and the wide for landscape. This objective is for between two and the bokeh is very satisfying. Item to recommend without hesitation.

really like the lens, especially for the price. You can achieve a very nice background blur in portraits and the portrait itself is nice and sharp. The autofocus works well too. It is a bit loud, but pumps very quickly and finds the sharpness well. So the noise doesn't bother me when taking pictures. All in all a very good and nice lens for the price!

This lens really is a dream!!! I take photos "only" as a hobby, but at a very high level. I'm actually only active in portrait/fashion photography and this lens is perfect for that. Since I'm a prime lens fan anyway and already own Canon's "yogurt cup" (the 50mm 1.8) and the 85mm 1.8, it was only a matter of time before I switched to this lens. The difference between the 1.8 and the 1.4 is still enormous, especially for people who, like me, always take pictures with a very wide aperture (actually never over aperture 2.0). The bokeh is an absolute dream and the focusing (manual and automatic with focus points) is great. The processing of the lens is very high quality (especially in comparison to the 1.8) and it feels good in the hand. The sharpness, even at aperture 1.4, is impressive every time!!! So for anyone who is a portrait and bokeh fan, this lens is a must! Thanks to the light sensitivity, you can take great photos even in poor lighting conditions. However, I recommend it more for intermediate/intermediate users who have heard of bokeh, focus points and aperture. For those who are just entering the world of fixed focal lengths, the 50mm 1.8 is the right choice thanks to its price-performance ratio. Have fun with it!

I really enjoy using this lens. Whether portrait of people or animals and landscape. It does what it's supposed to and is of good quality. It was delivered intact and I am very happy with it.

I bought this as my first portrait lens for my Alpha 6000 and 6500 and am very happy with it. The autofocus is fast and precise. The sharpness is great for me as an “amateur photographer” and great pictures are created, especially in weak light.

Very good portrait lens (at APS-C this corresponds to a 75mm/1.8 equivalent). Of course, you can use it for many other subjects, but I think that's a focal length that's especially good for the human figure. It's small and light, so no problem to take it with you when traveling and use it when you need a glowing lens. It's quite good even at f.1.8 and you can use it at full aperture without any problems, although the maximum quality is around f.4 or 5.6. Good bokeh. The AF precision and speed on my A6000 is very good (and aesthetically I like the matte silver finish with the black camera). I had an issue with shipping but Amazon sorted it out quickly so finally everything was fine.
