I got the filter for the 55mm Sony/Zeiss lens. The front lens is set back here... but you never know. In any case, the glass is high quality and well coated to allow for high transmission and few reflections. Even in poor lighting, I don't see any flares that wouldn't be there without the filter. I can definitely recommend it.

This ring allows the prestigious Zeiss manual focus lenses with Contax/Yashica mount to be fitted to a Sony Alpha (E-mont) camera body. The adapter allows the use of AF or MF Minolta/Sony A lenses on Sony FE mirrorless cameras. Very well done. The lens can only be used with manual focus, but is fine in most cases. There is an aperture slider that isn't marked with f-numbers but with click stops so you can count stops if needed. It serves its purpose and allows me to do some vintage reviews of Minolta SLR lenses.

Use the lens on my Sony 7RII and am very enthusiastic. Ideal combination for on the go. The optical performance is superb - sharp to the corners, virtually no chromatic aberration. The autofocus is accurate and fast enough. Unfortunately, the lens contains a lot of plastic and I hope the bayonet will last a while. Anyone who knows the optical performance of Sony and Zeiss lenses will be surprised what this small Chinese manufacturer has built here. I don't understand how Zeiss can hardly do anything better for 4-5 times the price. I'll just say - Zeiss dress warmly - the Chinese are coming. Hope Samyang expands the product line for the Sony FE Bayonet then this was not the last lens.

I'm really excited and at first I thought that I would rarely have the lens on my camera and now I "catch" myself using it more and more often. For the 50mm focal length on my Sony A6000, I actually have a manual Zeiss Planar 1.4 50 (with Contax bayonet), which also performs fantastically and is actually my favorite lens in terms of characteristics. But it happens to me again and again that when I focus with the aperture fully open, I don't get 100% sharpness. And with that, the idea of a narrow depth of field with nice bokeh is lost. So I bought this AF lens. Even if it doesn't come close to the old Zeiss Planar in terms of its image characteristics - this Sony is a perfect AF alternative for people shots for a fairly reasonable price. For stils I still like to use the manual Zeiss...
