For a long time I was looking for a travel tripod that is compact and handy. Whenever hiking or holiday tours were announced, I had to fall back on my Nanomax 400T. Unfortunately, this is just as high as German bridge railings at maximum height. After some time I came across the TM2324. Short preliminary conclusion: The processing is very good. The tripod is trimmed for photo tours. Thanks to the light 1.3 kg and quick-release fasteners on the legs, it can be taken anywhere and set up super quickly. The ball head with panorama function runs smoothly and feels secure. Details: 1. Key data: The tripod is 47 cm long when folded. If you set it up you can reach a maximum height of 159 cm (at the quick release plate), which is significantly higher than German bridge railings. The weight I measured was 1.31 kg with the ball head and 1.05 kg without the ball head. Despite the tripod, a lot still fits in the case. 2. Ball head: The ball head not only has the actual ball head function, but also a panorama function. The larger wheel releases the ball head. This runs smoothly and can also be swiveled downwards by 90° at one point. The smaller wheel is used for the panorama function. This runs just as smoothly and, as the name suggests, enables panoramic shots, since only the vertical axis is released. If you just crop images you lose resolution (if the focal length allows it at all). If you use the built-in panorama functions, you actually get a higher resolution. 3. Quick release plate: The quick release plate and holder are made of plastic. In this way, a little weight could probably be saved here as well. The plastic looks very valuable and stable. At first glance I thought it was metal. A spirit level or dragonfly is installed in the recording, so you can align the camera straight in the field. 4. Central plate: The feet can be locked in 3 positions with snap hooks on the central plate. Although the clamps feel somewhat "loose", the legs are surprisingly well fixed in the locked position. The middle bar is held by a classic twist lock. 5. Tripod legs: The tripod legs are equipped with quick-release fasteners. They look solid and are particularly useful when you're on the go and don't want to screw forever before you can pull out the leg and then screw it back on. With the quick-release fasteners, this can be done in a few seconds. The tubes themselves are made of black, brushed aluminum. I found no iron or steel on the legs. So nothing can rust if the tripod is placed in a stream or in the sea. One of the legs is partially covered with foam. You can carry the tripod well on it. It's so much more pleasant, especially when it's minus degrees. 6. Bag: The bag looks well made and is of course precisely adapted to the tripod. You can either carry it by the handle or hook it into the included strap. A reflective strip should probably serve to make you better seen by drivers on night hikes. Although I never really carry my tripods in bags, I find them quite successful. As you can see the weather has been bad for a long time but I didn't want to deprive you of my experience. As soon as the weather gets better I will try to send some more pictures later. I bought and paid for the K&F Concept TM2324 as usual via Amazon, but I get the money refunded as a product tester. ►What do you get?
In the box there is a nice carrying case, the tripod and the quick release.

Personally, I use the tripod the most and when I have to create content for social media, I also use the quick release for my phone.

►How bright is the tripod?

Compared to what I've used so far, it's very light. I would definitely recommend it especially for travellers, at 1.33kg it's wow! !

►What is carbon on this tripod?
The tubes, the rest is good quality aluminum.

►The head?
When you see if, for the first time, it may seem small to you, but from what I've experienced, it does a good job. It goes 360° and has a marking all around, which is very useful, especially for panoramas or large landscapes.

It really helps me when I need to shoot from a specific angle and then I turn my head to get a different angle and literally take a picture of the angle where the camera was positioned before. That way I don't have to worry about getting a different angle.
The head plate is decorated with a nice rubber logo that will prevent your camera from slipping.
The lock works very well. When I move my camera almost 3kg in portrait mode all the weight goes to one side and when I lock the head it literally stays where I wanted it to. Head rotation is smooth, no problem to interrupt your smooth video.

►The central part of the tripod?
The lock which is located in the middle is easy to access and loosen or lock.
There is also the wheel lock with rubber on the top which will allow you to make the tripod higher. I strongly suggest locking it properly to prevent your camera from sliding down.

►The legs?
These have 4 sections and will allow you to go very precisely with the pitch.
The best part is that when you open them they slide out very quickly so you don't have to pull them, for me it saves a lot of time which I always do I unlock all 3 legs of all sections and just let them open. Also, when you adjust the height, the legs are very smooth.
At the bottom they have a good solid rubber that will prevent the tripod from slipping. I mainly use it in the kitchen where I'm filming a cooking show and the tripod stays in place on the tiles. For this, also use a backpack of about 5-7 kg inside to stabilize it properly. There is a hook that you use to attach things (like in my case the backpack for extra stability).


For what I use, it's great. Now I can't say anything about hiking where the wind might be an issue.
I use it strictly in the kitchen and move it around a lot to capture different angles.

►Why did I buy this one over others?
It is very simple, because it is light and compact. Sometimes I have to go to my clients for food shots and I have to take the gear with me and I wanted something that saves me weight and size. This tripod is what I needed.

►The quick release?
Well built and good looking too, I would say use it more with phones. It's very handy to have it around and I consider a good addition is that you get it with the tripod.

►The carrying case?
Attractive ! You can easily install the tripod (folded correctly) and maybe some other small equipment, there is still space.

►Overall experience on this subject?
I was a little surprised at how light and compact it is. Easy to use and stable enough for my static setup and the 3kg camera I use the most.

►The disadvantages? I haven't found any so far.

They rotate all the way around and the maximum angle locks in place with a knob.

The upper arm extends upwards with 2 segments, and each leg has 5 segments. This is a great tripod to take with you, but if you need to deploy it quickly it might frustrate you. It takes a good minute to deploy fully if you know what you're doing.

It comes with a ball head and a quick release plate. The ball head glides smoothly and has a compass and spirit level on top to ensure you have a perfect picture setup. The ball head can also rotate, which feels like a fluid head on the bottom. Simple pans are easy, but you have to rotate the camera instead of holding a grip. The quick release plate is locked with a knurled screw. You can loosen the screw and slide it back and forth a bit, but it hits a stop without your camera slipping and falling to the ground. It's a fairly small quick release plate, but it's pretty strong.

It has a nice steel hook at the bottom where you can attach a sandbag if you want to shoot in the wind.

Overall this is a great kit that comes with the tripod, a ball head and a quick release plate. It has everything you need except the camera.

The tripod is two pounds lighter than the one I had been using and much shorter when collapsed. I really like that! However, when I tilt the camera head towards the locking nut, there can be interference with the base of the quick release plate. I've discovered that you can pull out the spring loaded handle to reset its location but there are two issues with doing that. 1. Its tedious and with my big hands, hard to get in there, and; 2. I'm right handed and it seems like the handle was placed on the wrong side. I have to work it with my left hand. Turning the camera around to swing the handle to the right puts it ahead of the camera where it's difficult to see, not to mention that the ball slot (used to clear the ball stem and tilt the camera forward) is now at the back of the camera. Pretty much useless there unless you take photos of the sky. I considered swapping out the Manfrotto ball head from my other tripod as it has the tightening handle at the rear, easily accessible but I felt like I would lose the weight advantage. So, I probably wouldn't have bought this if I had know how inconveniently placed all the control/tightening handles were, but again, I do like the weight savings.WEEKS LATER: After using this tripod for awhile I’m getting used to avoiding the design issues that caused the interference. However as a product designer myself I recognize that “workaround” should not be in a design engineers vocabulary. K&F contacted me and told me they have discussed the design issues with the team. As a result I’ve added a star to the rating.
