High quality multi coated lens filter at a great price!

I use old lenses, often without lens coatings. So I buy multi-coated filters to help with resolution. This was a cheap lens that I really had no hopes for. I took the bow picture at 30 ft (10 meters). The filter helped resolve the image flawlessly.

This is a very nice camera filter from a reputable company. It is made of high-quality optical glass with multi-layer nanometer layers of ultra-thin and ultra-light materials. The frame is very light and small compared to the other filters I have for my camera. This is a special effects filter mainly suitable for portraits to blur the details of your subject. This is a 1/4 diffusion/fog filter and the changes from a regular, unfiltered lens are minimal. K&F makes the same filter in smaller and larger gauges (ie 1/8, 1/2). So you have to decide what level of diffusion you want for your specific studio shoot/set. I thought 1/4 would be a good place to start experimenting with this type of effect. This filter also included 3 nice microfiber cleaning cloths. (It would have been nice if there was a resealable/reusable bag though.) The price is very good considering you are getting a quality multi-coated glass filter from a good company. know KF Concept from both their filters and their lens adapters. They have a variety of other photography products. Since I am familiar with these, I was happy with ordering this product. When I ordered it I thought it was *just* the circular polarizer. I was surprised and pleased to find that it was a combination. For me, 62mm makes the polarizer useful for multiple lenses. The multi-layer UV filter was a bonus. The combination is safely protected. In use, the polarizer reduces glare from surfaces and deepens the blue in the sky. That's what you expect, yes? The beauty of this is that the multi-coating essentially eliminates any glare from the filters themselves. This coating also makes them easy to clean and keep clean. They are made of optical glass, so I am confident in their durability. The knurls on the filter rings make them slightly larger than the lens mount they are installed on. I've had problems with this on some vintage lenses, but not on the modern AF lenses I got these for. Overall, I recommend this combination for both function and excellent value for money.

The fact that this thing is multi-coated makes it a million times better than any non-multi-coated variant. I've bought a different brand of 77mm UV filter before and it's extremely horrible with specular highlights, especially in low light. Always, always be coated several times.
